Description: Slater’s 50/50® was founded in 2009 in Anaheim Hills, California by Scott Slater, a San Diego State graduate with a passion for gourmet comfort food and craft beer. Teaming up with Executive Chef Brad Lyons, they created the world’s first 50/50 burger – 50 percent ground bacon and 50 percent ground beef – taking the Southern California restaurant scene by storm. In 2011, the second Slater’s 50/50 opened in Huntington Beach followed quickly by the San Diego location. Since opening, Slater’s 50/50 has won a number of awards and accolades including “Best Burger” by The Orange County Register, OC Weekly and FOX 5 San Diego as well as Best New Restaurant by San Diego Magazine. Slater’s 50/50 has also been featured on national television shows including the Travel Channel’s Bacon Paradise and Discovery Channel’s United States of Bacon.

I had heard great things about this place and wasn't disappointed. I dropped in for a late lunch and couldn't resist the turkey burger with a thanksgiving theme (stuffing and cranberry sauce). It was beyond delicious. The burger was huge and very filling. I would have loved to try some other items but was so full I just couldn't. If you're in the area give this place a shot.

This was a great, economical, place to have great beers and equally great burgers. In an overpriced city, this was a great find. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend.

Tried Slater's on the recommendation of TripAdvisor Reviewers... We were not disappointed.
Tons of customers on a Saturday night with UCLA playing football just a few miles away.
The Bacon/Beef Burger was so tasty... Try it with the fries and the bacon flavored catsup.
The fire burger was spicy blazing hot. You can customize your burger order with dozens of ingredients all submitted on your own special order form. Slater's is a great addition to Old Town Pasadena.

So any place that has 100+ beers on Tap has to be good!
They will let you sample the beer to determine which ones you like, I can honestly say that we sampled "several" which led to several Pints,

Ok, now for the burgers, if you like Bacon then you cant go wrong here, starting with the 50/50 burger to the bacon salt or the baconaise, really baconaise.

If you like great burgers and great beer you owe it to yourself to give them a try.
