“A little above average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Cannot beat the DineLA lunch deal. 3 courses for $15 so I brought my parents here to enjoy a nice lunch. Had one of each apps: French onion soup - always good; lobster bisque - a little fishy but actually had a few chunks of lobster meat; stuffed mushrooms - two little mushrooms on a fennel leave cup (way too small portion for this one).

Mom wasn't feeling well so she didn't want anything heavy. I ordered her the tuna nicoise salad, I had the grilled lobster avocado panini, and dad had the lobster, scallops, and shrimp pasta. The tuna was not very fresh but mom enjoyed the salad and vinaigrette. Dad also enjoyed his seafood and pasta dish. My lobster panini was okay. Very little lobster meat so majority of the sandwich was just bread. Came with a nice side of fries though.

We all enjoyed the desserts: flourless chocolate cake - delicious dark chocolate that was velvety smooth; tiramisu - very good; and raspberry and mango sorbet (one scoop each). All yummy.

Not the best tasting or highest quality food, but again, can't beat the price. Service was also good.

“Small and charming”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2014

We had the lunch buffet. It was great food, easy in and out, and was a pleasant place to lunch. The bathroom is shared with another restaurant which was a bit weird but we got over it.

“2014 dinela”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2014

I tried the dinela lunch menu 1/22/14. I had the baked mushroom for first course and the lobster, sea scallops and shrimp pasta. For dessert i had the tiramisu. I thought the food was very well prepared and serving size quite generous! I hope to be back again and would probably order the dishes again!

“Game day indulgance”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2013

We weren't sure if we should go in as it is a lovely white linen restaurant but the staff were so nice and welcomed us even in our game day attire. Had the Prix Fix Menu, lobster bisque, a fabulous hamburger cooked like I asked, then a piece of chocolate cake. YUMMY!! Hubby had a Caprese Salad and sandwich. White wine was chilled perfectly. We will absolutely go back again next time in Pasadena.

“Pasadena Dining Pleasure”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2013

Dining at Cafe bizou was a genuine dining pleasure. Our reservations were solid, although it did not seem like they were required even on a Friday night as several groups without reservations were seated promptly with a minimum of fuss. The emenu was extensive and entrees were reasonably priced. Service was very good and special requests were handled quickly. Large enough to accomadate a big group and yet small enough for an intimate dinner for two, this restaurant is worth the trip.
