“DON'T EAT HERE!”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

A pharmaceutal rep catered lunch for our office from here today. It was by far the most disgusting
food we have ever had here. The hummus tasted like dirt, there was a gray hair in the salad, the falafel were like golf balls and you could break a tooth on the pita bread. NOTHING was good!
We are all jealous of our co worker who got sent home this AM after testing +for the flu She was spared from this lunch!

“Secret Garden”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

This is one of the best kept secrets in Pasadena. Food is great and plentiful and the atmosphere is European. The garden room in the back is my favorite place to sit.

“"Disgusting. Dirty. Not Healthy. Not Food Safe. Filthy, Gross"”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

The words above are from a recent review on Yelp. I could not have summed up my experience in more accurate terms. It's not just one review, it is many. Eat here at your peril.

“Good place...if you know what to order”
Reviewed December 22, 2012

I've been going there for over 20 years. Funky, yet fun. Prices are outrageously inexpensive. You can get a sandwich way under $10...and it includes the salad and soup bar.

If you get one of the specials consider splitting with your dining companion. The portions are huge.

The quality has been up and down. I used the order the eggplant pita sandwich. It used to be grilled and once it was breaded and fried. So, if you have special requirements make sure you inquire. I'm careful about what I order now, so my rating reflects a small portion of the menu.

Some people might find the place a bit grungy, but I'm fine with it.

Wed nights they have a Dixieland band. Other nights have other entertainment.

They are very good about swapping out stuff...steamed veggies instead of french fries, etc.

Lots of stuff for vegetarians.

“Good and plenty restaurant”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

This is a very good middle Eastern restaurant. They have a varied menu with lots of choices. All their dishes are very good and the portions are large. Almost everyone leaves with a container for a later meal.We have been going there for years, and it is always good. Belly dancer on weekend nites and Dixieland jazz on Wednesday nites. The prices are moderate. THey offer a breakfast buffet on Saturday and Sunday for about $6., with all you can eat and drinks included.!! THis ends at 11 a.m. on SAturday and 10 a.m. on SUndays. THen they have the fancy brunch with prime rib, made to order omelets, etc for more money , of course. This is a favorite place and our grown children always like to come here when they are in town.
