Description: Since 1984, Parkway Grill has specialized in a seasonal, market-driven approach to cooking that incorporates diverse influences and classic French technique. Demonstrating the ultimate commitment to fresh produce, the Parkway Grill planted its own organic vegetable and herb garden behind the restaurant. Tiki Salad, Brick-Oven Baked Cambozola Pear Flat Bread, and Whole Ginger Fried Catfish are long-time favorites. The design of the Parkway Grill is a study in casual sophistication, striking a perfect balance between elegance and rustic approachability. The brick walls are adorned with elegant paintings by Millard Sheets and mixologists prepare hand-crafted cocktails at the expansive bar, an original from 1920's Chicago. Parkway's award-winning wine cellar, comprised of upwards of three thousand bottles, includes a broad selection of wines served by the glass.

Food is fantastic, though pricey. Amazing lamb chops and desserts.

“Spot on service and great food!”
Reviewed March 26, 2012

I took clients to dinner at the Parkway Grill. The restaurant was very busy, but everything was perfect. We had drinks at the bar while we waited for our table. I saw a pink frosty drink go by and asked the bartender what it was. He said it was his own invention and then gave me a small sample to try. After talking to both bartenders I found out that they have created a number of their own drinks, so ask about them and they become quite enthusiastic. Our waiter, Michael, was helpful with recommendations, and when we could not decide between the two appetizer flatbreads, he offered to have one made with half of each version so we could try both versions in one. The organic field greens salads were easily big enough for two people. My barramundi fish special had a great white sauce with capers and was pretty amazing. One of my clients had the pappardelle pasta dish with mushrooms and beef tenderloin and said it melted in their mouth. The other client had the bee pollen dusted halibut and raved about how good it was. We tried the s'mores and molten chocolate cake for dessert. There were two s'mores with huge warm (obviously house made - not Kraft) marshmallows sitting on top of high end chocolate and a graham cookie. One was sitting in a red berry sauce and the other in a vanilla sauce with a sprinkling a berries on the plate. Whoa baby - they were great! I never tried the cake, but it was quickly devoured, so I trust it was equally appreciated. The service was impeccable. As soon as we finished something, our plates were removed. When our water or beverage glasses were getting low, they were quickly refilled.

“Great food”
Reviewed March 11, 2012

Great food. The duck was great. Book in advance even if its 30 minutes in advance. We booked 15 minutes before we arrived and as a result we seated right away while people who didn't reserve had to wait.

“My Favorite”
Reviewed February 26, 2012

I'm a Pasadena Resident it this is the best place in town for lunch or dinner friends or business. Ornate bar area stays open between both meals. Older, fading, USC Alum hang out in bar after work- if they work at all!
