Great Location! Spend only one night. Hotel has just been remodeled, the staff was extremely nice and helpful.
Only one block from Old Town Pasadena. I will go there again!

Spent a night here during a quick business trip. For one thing, Pasadena itself is awesome. And the hotel's location is very convenient to the shopping, restaurants, etc. The front desk staff was great, and the room (recently remodeled, I believe) was really nice and immaculately clean. Breakfast was not free, but it was a fabulous buffet. Only three quibbles: (1) lots of traffic noise, (2) the non-sheer curtains didn't close all the way, so I couldn't block the light (and noise) from the street, and (3) the bathroom layout. The toilet and shower are in a huge room, but the vanity/sink is outside the room, very tiny, and you have to share the counter space with the coffeemaker. Too bad they didn't use some of the wasted space in the bathroom and make a larger vanity area.

This hotel has it all at a reasonable price in Old Town Pasadena, California. The room was nice with a beautiful mountain view. Clean carpet, bedding was comfortable and very clean. Computer set up--excellent. Free Internet in room and in lobby--3 stations in lobby with printer--no charge. Big screen TV in lobby sitting area and in the bar area. Very pleasant to come back to the hotel and have a drink with friends--low key and pleasant bar area.

Breakfast was nice and fresh. Coffee in the morning. The in-room coffee service is Starbucks. The maid service was outstanding. The hotel staff was accomodating and friendly. Valet parking was quick and easy.

The pool and spa are very pleasant and there were plenty of towels out at all times. Big work out room with enough equipment in good condition for the size of the facility.

The hotel is centrally located to restaurants, bars, shopping, movies etc. 2 blocks from the Gold Line Light Rail--we walked the short distance to the Gold LIne and went into downtown LA to go to the Lakers--no car needed. We also could go to Hollywood without a car from the hotel.

You can walk to Manny's Pizza 1 block south, Russells for a great meal: beautiful setting--old time Pasadena with hard wood floors and old time diner counter and booths. Pinkberry's down the street. You won't be bored here--lots to do.

Better than expected. Rates were also very reasonable on the weekend especially--Marriot has weekend special of $149 a night.

Highly recommend. You will enjoy!

This is a very well run, clean and neat hotel

I stayed at the Courtyard on a business trip last week and was pleased with everything but the price. I stayed at the LAX Courtyard the following night and the rate was 33% lower - and you can't tell me Pasadena real estate is any more expensive than LAX real estate! And, no free breakfast at this property either.

One off-putting item - when I made reservations online via Marriott's website I specified King rooms on a high floor away from the elevator. When we checked in, we were told only rooms with two queens were available. Whatver, I thought, I'll sleep in a slightly smaller bed...but then I was giving a room directly across from the elevator! I was too tired to complain.

I'll stay here again but only if I get a much better rate. There are loads more options in this area...

One night at a hotel isn't enough to provide a detailed review. I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles Old Town Pasadena for 171 nights (August 28, 2007 to February 24, 2008) and found everything about the experience and their service outstanding. They were responsive to my every need and the staff provided an exemplary level of service. I would highly recommend them for any stay in the Pasadena, California area. I couldn't have found a better place to live and work after a fire. They are ideally placed for quick freeway access and within walking distance of excellent restaurants and theaters.
