“Terrific Pastrami”
Reviewed May 19, 2014

I'm usually in Palo Alto once or twice a year and the Driftwood is my go to spot for a freshly made pastrami sandwich to take back to the hotel after a long flight or day at the office. Service is good and the food is even better. Nothing fancy but perfect for a lone traveler looking for something quick and very tasty.

“Popular Deli for visitors and locals”
Reviewed January 19, 2014

Was staying at the Creekside Inn, and went downstairs for 3 visits to this deli. Excellent selections of soda/wine/beers, chips but the real reason to go into this deli is for the sandwiches. Great friendly staff. I had usually come in during the evenings, after visits to my daughter at Stanford Hospital. On the last day, I stopped in during lunch and the deli and it's outside seating area were packed with locals from the medical/business community enjoying the warm January sunshine and tasty sandwiches. I hope I never have to return to Palo Alto for an overnight stay (hoping my daughter's brain surgery is a complete success), but if I have to, I'll use the Driftwood Deli and the Creekside Inn as my home base for lunches and lodging.

“Great service at the counter”
Reviewed December 3, 2013

This place was just a little deli, nothing special but the service person had a great personality--chatted a little but got right to business. I had a sandwich to go but left with a good feeling.
