Not only is the lobby run down but rooms are run down. Old flat mattresses with scratchy thin sheets, old peeling wallpaper, moldy shower caulk, old dirty tubs, old pee on back wall by toilet, holes in the curtains and to top it off, there is an inch gap around the door, except where it hinges, that’s only 1/3” gap. Not one good thing about this place. This is not what they claim you get. It was very expensive for a gross broken down motel.
For me, it was a very nice hotel. I had great and helpful customer service here, the location is nice, it is quiet, and they have a very nice breakfast.
The rooms are very well equipped and very clean. I will stay here again when I am in Palo Alto with my business trip!

Breakfast was typical, with waffles, eggs, sausages, yogurt, muffins, juices, etc.
If you need just a place to sleep, it would be a good choice.
Comfort Inn Palo Alto is a popular, basic but clean motel. The room has a large fridge, coffee maker, microwave, and spacious bathroom. Beds are comfortable. The breakfast in the lobby is very adequate.
I am an optimist so I thought I could get through a stay at this place. The hotel prices in Silicon Valley are staggering. I arrived to a room that was like a prison cell and smelled like old Indian food. There were bugs in the window, cracked flooring, and torn wallpaper. It was a queen bed stuffed in a room that was about 8 by 10. I feel so cheated. It also feels extremely unsafe for a single female traveler. Never ever will I stay here again and I can't recommend it to anyone. Shame on the general manager or the owners for charging such prices to hard working people.
