“Milkshakes”

Lots of great diner food but the milkshakes are my favorite (and my downfall). Two locations, downtown Palo Alto and Stanford Shopping Center

“Old Fashioned Diner Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

Been here several times and just love every thing about the breakfast, lunch or dinner and the desserts! Great home cooked food and service that is always top notch. If you get too full from the large portions and don't have room for dessert just take it to go. Love the chocolate bread pudding and the coconut cream cake. Can't wait to go back again.

“Fun and creative”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2013

Great for breakfast, lunch, diner style dinners.
Love sitting outside for a breakfast.
Creative choices as well as comfort food. So convenient to the shopping center (although I hear that is to change).
Prices reasonable.

“Funky but nice”

Very unique place in town. Love the ambience from the 60s, food always good. Perfect to take kids for breakfast on weekends. Milkshakes are very nice.

“A diner on the corner in downtown Paly”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2013

The booths are nice but the lunch counter is a trip, everyone chatting and trying to find space for their food and the morning Chron. The great hearty breakfasts (corn beef hash is excellent) are worth coming here. Lunch is also fine, good sandwiches and burgers. The help are friendly and fast. I (personally) would avoid the sister shop in the mall; do the one downtown. Take away cakes and pies are also well appreciated if you have a student in a dorm. Have eaten here numerous times over the years and always find it comfort food.
