“Great Weekend Brunch”
Reviewed March 5, 2007

Of the places open for breakfast/brunch in the University Avenue area, this is one of the best.

The menu changes seasonally and every weekend has a different special.

The St. Mike's omelet is great, the benedicts are terrific, and how can you pass up Blue Monkey pancakes (blueberry & banana). They also have soups, salads, burgers and sandwiches on the brunch menu. The food is reliably good.

The staff is pleasant and prompt.

The restaurant is a bit small, so there can be a wait on the weekend. There are 4 tables on the narrow sidewalk in front of the restaurant that are great on a nice day, but people waiting tend to crowd you a bit out there.

Oddly, though I've lived in Palo Alto for many years, I've never eaten dinner here. It's my favorite brunch place, though.

“Our favorite restaurant!”
Reviewed August 6, 2005

St. Mike's is consistently the best restaurant in the area. The servers are very welcoming and helpful, the food is great and the atmosphere is very comfortable. We eat there at least once per week. Dinner is the best meal, but they also serve lunch and weekend brunch. The salmon is fantastic, as well as the rack of lamb. The menu changes with the seasons, so be sure to get what you want when you see it!
