“burmese/chinese in neighborhood restaurant”

Warm owners and staff welcome diners to enjoy delicious Burmese and Chinese dishes. Fruity Nutty Chicken, Coconut Chicken soup with noodles, pumpkin curry and tea leaf salad are favorites.

“good food”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

They have two menus, Chinese and Burmese. Both are good. I love the lettuce cup chicken and the noodle dished are great. My kids like the lemon chicken.

“Love the Chinese Chicken Salad”
Reviewed July 6, 2012

Okay, so Chinese Chicken Salad is surely not authentic, but I still crave it and the Green Elephant does a very light version that is delicious. One of their chefs uses hot mustard in the dressing, which I love. But you can always ask for it on the side if whoever is on duty in the kitchen doesn't use enough. I often get take-out, and they are always incredibly quick at getting the order ready. But it is fun to visit the restaurant, because the presentation of the food is so elegant and the waitresses take great pride in serving you. Green Elephant has all the typical Chinese dishes, but also a variety of Burmese dishes include curries. The restaurant is located in dreary (architecturally) strip mall, but inside the decor is lovely. And next door Is Rick's Rather Rich, a locally famous ice cream parlor with a wide variety of home made flavors and fudge.

“The Chinese items don't...”
Reviewed November 20, 2008

The Chinese items don't inspire me much, but it's the Burmese menu that's interesting. The potato curry is great!
