Description: Sister restaurant of Kokkari, Evvia has been serving beautiful and elegant Greek cuisine since 1995. Fabulous fish, savory roasted meats, and sun-soaked vegetables are jazzed up with a spritz of lemon, a little olive oil, and herbs. There is perfection in simplicity.

My favorite Greek restaurant outside those I do frequent in the Greek islands. Menu selection, and service is very good, the quality of their food is excellent. This restaurant has a very special ambience, quite cozy. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to get reservations when you want to go. They should open a second restaurant in town.

Evvia is well regarded as a very good restaurant by Palo Alto locals and its reputation is well deserved.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is vibrant, service excellent, and food even better. The lamb dishes were the highlight for many of our party especially. There is an excellent wine list, not over the top, and in general prices were good.

This place is well worth a visit when in town, but you'll need to book in advance!

OK the meaning of the silly title - I have been to Greece several times some years ago and I never found great food in Greece. Evvia does great food. We went o Evvia twice during our stay in Palo Alto. The food is really impressive. Here are no ridiculous modern tricks - foam etc. it's fairly simple Greek food but cooked with sympathy and flair.
My last meal was brussel sprouts cooked in butter with shallots and capers, Lamb souvlaki ( sorry about the spelling ) and baklava. All three courses absolutely delicious. Service very professional and efficient. In summary a lovely and memorable meal. Thanks very much.

It had been some time since our last visit to Evvia and I was curious to see if it was as good as I remembered (and I remembered that it was very good). Not to disappoint, Evvia is still great. The place was full yet our table was ready for our 8 PM reservation. Other reviewers have commented on the quality of the lamb. OMG! The lamb chops were outstanding. The servicer was both friendly and knowledgable. All at our table (4 people) were exuberantly positive on their reaction to the meal and the tastes. Dinner for 4 - 3 appetizers, 4 entrees, 1 bottle of wine plus corkage for the bottle we brought and no desserts - was $190 not including tip. There will definitely be a return visit to Evvia the next time we are in Palo Alto.
