“Excellent Indian Fusion place - you need to request a truly Indian flavor!”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

What was good:
- I liked the place - quick attentive unobtrusive service. They keep engaged with you without much verbiage
- seating options are extensive inside and outside the place.
- The food is very much of fusion cuisine with a strong Indian flavor (think garlic naans with no butter). BUT if you like Indian authentic taste with the fats - you got to ask for it. They'll give you all the butter you need :)
- We've had lahsooni saag paneer (musthave), dal makhni (black daal as they said - very good), paneer platter (small portions but well flavored), palak chat (very fusion - papdi chat is thetruly Indian item in comparison but this was definitely quite good). The naans were top quality.

What could be improved:
- Its fairly pricey - you can easily touch 25$/person/meal.
- Its America - if you like it, you gotto tip 15%. These guys are nice and requesting about it unlike many others. This logic beats me - but hey cab drivers expect/demand 20% tip for a short ride as well, so what can I say?!

“Great Indian and non veg”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

Unlike the other Indian restaurants in US which tend to offer limited variety and bland food. This one was different. Loads of variety and nice spicy food.

“Outstanding food and setting both.”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

I'm in Palo Alto a lot for business lately, and I am hoping to get to this restaurant again on an upcoming trip. The food is simply fantastic, and the setting is clean contemporary, pleasing. The staff are very cordial, and the servings are larger than you need -- but they'll help you sort out what to order. Everything I had was fantastic, better than the Indian food I've had in London. A great find.

“Disappointing”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

We love Indian food and living where we can't get it, we seek it out when traveling. My daughter's beer was barely cold, the food was good but extremely small portions. We are people who like smaller portions but these were the smallest I have ever seen for entrees - seemed more like tapas. $3 for a small bowl of rice! Palo Alto prices? Our bill included 2 items we did not order - so we sent it back. The gratuity was added to our bill of 5 people despite nothing on the menu for this number. And many people are getting more and more upset on the gratuity calculation being made on top of the tax. We tip generously at 20%+ but before tax. This restaurant is gouging, had poor wait staff and management lacking in customer service. Won't recommend nor return.

“Great starters, good food”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

After a long time I liked an Indian restaurant. They have great innovative starter combinations - we particularly liked the one that had boiled "moong lentil" with peanuts and cranberries. Also the Nan with cashews and some paneer dish. The main course was good as well - the chicken (meat) itself wasn't very tasty but the gravy was good. There is also a non-alcoholic drink with ginger and strawberries (name has "Bombay" in it) which is great. Another one liked by all was "chicken kaathi roll".

Overall a high recommendation. I will go again just for the starters if nothing else!
