nice clean hotel if you are arriving from Los Angeles its just as you enter Palm Springs.
the room was nice very clean pools OK, the only faults we had was the free breakfast.
It was a wast of time no toast coffee machine on the first day then never refilled,no where to sit and the yoghurt were over a week out of date when we told them they just left them there it was another guest that told us so if you stay there eat breakfast elsewhere.

We recently went to the Shilo Inns - Palm Springs for our anniversary as a last minute getaway. We booked our 2 night stay at http://www.thetravelvision and got an amazing deal! We were a little hesitant because it was so cheap. But we were pleasantly surprised.

We stayed in room #241. Second floor in the back. They called it a garden view, but we could still see the pool. One thing you should know is that the hotel is like a big U with ALL rooms facing towards the pool/ garden area. So there is no bad room really. We preferred the 2nd floor as they came with a balcony, which was nice and private. Bottom floors are good for those that want to walk out their room to the pool. The bottom rooms have a small sitting area with chairs. We didn't mind having to walk the back parking lot into the pool area. In exchange we had an amazing view of the mountains and enjoyed the beautiful sunset by opening our door and stepping out on the upper walkway.

There are 2 pools! An adult pool (which is in the back of the hotel) and a kid pool (towards the front). Each pool has a hot tub next to it. Although there were very few guests during our visit, it was nice not having to share the pool with kids screaming and splashing!

They also have a sauna & steam room. Steam room was a big negative. It smelled bad and we opted not to use that. But the sauna was clean and hot and just what we needed for a short bit. They also have a nice little gym with A/C, water cooler, towels, tv and a good array of gym equipment.

Another plus was their expanded continental breakfast. Cereal, danish, bread, english muffins, fruit, yogurt, juices, coffee, cappuccino.. along with microwave & toaster. We were told they have popcorn all day and cookies in the evening, but we never checked that out.

Our room was nice. A lot bigger than we had expected. King bed and pullout sofa. Sitting area, desk and free WiFi. Nice bathroom with tile entry way. Mini fridge, wet bar, & microwave. Room was clean. Bathroom had some minor fixes that were needed... but nothing too bad. Plenty of closet space. Iron & hair dryer.

The only other complaint I had was that there was no walk way from the back rooms to the front desk area (where breakfast was served). You either have to walk in the parking lot or walk along wet grass until you get halfway through the courtyard. Made it difficult to walk breakfast back to the room. But, that is truly minor and the mountain view out weighed the walk anytime!

The front desk staff was very friendly. We didn't use house keeping. Our booking at TheTravelvision.com went through right away. There was an option for poolside for $10 more. The grounds are green and lush. Fountain in the center of the courtyard. Nice big pool (4 1/2 deepest spot)

Overall our stay was great. Very relaxing. Worth the money. You can't go wrong!

Fouth time in Palm Springs and second time in Shilo Inn, you get a nice big clean room with Refrigerator and microwave, patio or terrace overlooking one of 2 pools! ( I did the $4 pool suite upgrade ) sofa, desk ,table ,chairs etc. Coffee maker, little hairdryer, iron and board !

Fitness center like most hotels had old eqipment, but did have steam room and sauna.

The bed was comfortable and the linen clean ( my womans comments and you know how fussy they are ! )

Beautiful view of the mountains, and dont miss the Morongo Casino all u can eat buffet back on Interstate10 15 minutes drive but woth it! $15 plus wine $10 a bottle!

You get free wifi where other charge $10 a day, and a adequate breakfast coffee (thats another $10 savings ), toast, english muffins, cereal juice .

If you want more go pay $160 a night at another hotel, I was there friday before 4th July and paid $85 including taxes.

Coming back in December!

Terrific value, nice place! Go for it

I stayed at Shilo Inn Palm Springs over Dinah Shore weekend, hotel was very busy with families and couples. We enjoyed the adult pool and kids pool was on front side of property and we could not hear noise from adult side of hotel, I would recommend adult side for couples with no kids. Hotel is kept very clean and staff was very sincere and accommodating. Fitness room has been improved since our last visit which was nice to see. Overall property is not fancy, but very clean and tidy. Shuttle van was also available to run us downtown on both days.

It was during spring break and this was the best "deal" I could find. The room had a funky odor and the tile floors looked and felt dirty. It was very noisy and you could hear the people walking upstairs and people taling outside. I did not sleep well and did not feel very safe. Look elsewhere.
