Stayed in a standard king which was fine, very close to the pool, had a problem with the door and some cleaning issues, which were dealt with very quickly, the food was good, but it's a family and young persons kind resort, not too many people over 50 were there when we stayed. But very relaxing with good staff. Cool idea to have free bikes available for guests. Not my cup of tea, but a good experience overall,

We stayed here for spring break with another family. The food, atmosphere, rooms, fireplace nooks, and staff were all so great. I was worried that the hotel would be too hipster for us but that was far from the case. There were families and kids everywhere. I do understand how people without kids and/or not wanting to be around kids would be disappointed with the pool scene. We’ll be back for sure!

Our family of 4 had a really nice stay at the Ace. We stayed in an Ace Suite, which had plenty of room - we had a rollaway brought in. Large private outdoor fireplace area with built-in outdoor couches. Very comfortable and great way to relax at night. The main pool area was quite active during prime hours (it was spring break week), but we were always able to find a chair if needed. Pool is open from 6am to 2am - so we swam early every morning at sunrise. We never used the other more secluded pool - my assumption is that the other pool was more for quiet/adult time, as opposed to families. The food was very good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nice people working at front desk as well.

Room tip: Ace Suite had a large private outdoor area with gas fireplace, couches and chairs

This hotel is everything you need -- you never have to leave. The food is A+ and the vibe is very curated and luxurious, but relaxed. It's a low key luxury. The Spa, on the other hand, is fine, but not anything to write home about. And pricey. You'd do better to go elsewhere for a massage. But for sure enjoy the incredible pool, room, and diner. Top notch drinks and activities, as well. They are also incredibly dog friendly, and nothing beats having your lil' babe by the pool with you. Splurge for the patio with the fireplace, it's worth it year round for those desert nights.

Room tip: Splurging for the patio fireplace is worth it.

Cool makeover of an old hotel. The room details are really what makes the rooms cool. Record player, dope vinyl, side table, lamps etc, the attention to detail is great, even if the rooms are quite small.
The diner and bar are awesome too. The Diner is great, a true classic even, with a modern menu. The bar has a different vibe every night, so great place to drink and hang. I would advise getting a room away from the pool, and bar area though, it can be a bit noisy.
It's situated in a cool area where you can walk to other hotels, cafes and bars (head to Mr Lyons for dinner and a cocktail, great place). The bikes are really handy, and free, from the Ace so you can cycle around the area behind the hotel which is mid century heaven.

Room tip: I would advise getting a room away from the pool, and bar area though, it can be a bit noisy.
