Our tour guide Louis took us for the most unforgettable journey into the Joshua Tree National Park. He is not only extremely knowledgeable but also entertaining. He navigated that Hummer along the trails expertly and safely. There is no other way to see this area except by going into the heart of it where no standard vehicles can go. I was speechless as I stood in the middle of unspoiled and pristine land. I recommend anyone planning a trip to the Palm Springs area to include this trip in your itinerary. It's worth every penny. Joann P.

This was a great tour! Merrick was our guide. He was so friendly and informative of all the sites. We were in great hands the whole trip and his driving skills were impressive. I would definately book another tour next time we visit Palm Springs.

A morning walk through the grounds of an oasis, then entering the valley preserve, canyons
and park is clearly an unforgettable experience of contrasts! And the knowledge that Robert brought to the table added a new meaning to the appreciation and admiration of nature, plants, animals--the entire venue! His knowledge is amazing and clearly born by his passion of discovery. Viewing various lizards - (thanks to his sureshot eyes!), securing a close-up video of a Speckled Rattlesnake (under his close supervision), and being "escorted" by the brilliantly-colored Western Tanager (nope, he doesn't get the credit for that - we'll credit our Maker for that colorful touch!) -- all of this made our tour quite unforgettable! Plus the trek up the mountain peak in Joshua Tree National Park and the view was quite awesome. We couldn't have asked for anything more.... well, except maybe his wife's muffins that were mentioned in prior reviews--however, we found no fault in her freshly-baked cookies! Thank you, Adventure Hummer Tours, for going the extra mile to educate and entertain your travelers; and KUDDOS to Robert, best and most personable tour guide ever. A natural host and representative of your business! Would recommend this tour to all ages, a great jumpstart to your day!

Talk about a guy who takes pride in his job...! Rob went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we had a fun, comfortable, and memorable tour. His group leadership was remarkable, and my group ended the day feeling more like old friends than a group of strangers who had only met four hours earlier. The tour ended with hugs and well-wishes, and regrets that it had to end. Thanks, Adventure Hummer Tours, and thanks, Rob!

We took the tour the first hot week of May, when temperatures reached 106 at sea level, with our parents who are in their 80s. But at 8 am, it was still comfortable, and by 11 am, when we reached Joshua Tree National Park, the heat was manageable at the higher elevation. The open Hummer with stadium seating was fabulous, and gave excellent views in all directions. The road (if you want to call it a road) is full of boulders and potholes, and difficult slow terrain, but the Hummer managed quite well through all the twists and turns. On the main road at speed limit of 50 mph, it was a bit windy. But in the canyon, it generated a pleasant breeze, just enough to be comfortable. The visit to the Oasis was amazing, and so informative. Our guide, Rob Black, is an excellent driver in very difficult terrain, and is a naturalist who is totally enthusiastic about the desert, and made even the simplest thing interesting. His eagle eyes spotted a variety of lizards, birds, and small animals, even a lizard couple mating in the middle of the road, which he said is a very rare sight for humans to see. Rob also helped us get amazing up close photos by patiently approaching the lizards. He brought ice cold water, snacks, and even homemade muffins that his wife sent along! We would highly recommend this tour.
