“Delicious Food...Huge Portions”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2013

This is THE place to go for great deli food. The menu is large and the portions are even larger. We shared a smoked fish platter which was more than ample for the two of us. The fish is of good quality and seemed fresh. The service can be sketchy but the food is worth waiting for. Be sure to check out the mouthwatering baked goods on your way out.

“Great place to eat!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2013

We ate at this restaurant several times while staying in Palm Springs and it was excellent! Great, friendly service, huge menu to choose from. Good food and too many deserts to choose. It was right next door to our resort which made it convenient. Loved it!

“Big Portions and Great Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2013

Kosher Dills... It all starts with that. This restaurant in the desert is real find for big portions and great service. Come hungry or ready to share as the meals and sandwiches BIG. Attentive service and good food make for great value. All the deli selections you'd expect at Carnegie's are here and done just as good. Just off East Palm Canyon Rd, do not miss MinD.

“The Better of the Delis”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

There are two delis in Palm Springs - Manhattan in the Desert and Sherman's. Of the two, Manhattan is my favorite. The wait staff is nicer, the food is a little bit better (at least what I order) and the decor is nicer. I usually order the Reuben .... It is huge. When it comes to the table I always ask for course ground horseradish and a to go box to put half the sandwich in. If I don't do that I stuff myself and finish the whole thing because it is so tasty. The Cobb Salad is great, the soups are great, the menu is huge.
The lobby desert counter and deli is a nice touch. I often go get a desert or breakfast danish when I have company. I love the carrot cake cheesecake (carrot cake with a slice of cheesecake in the center!!). I have had them bake me rye bread without seeds and have ordered Hot Cross Buns - they never disappoint.

“Late night Oasis of Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2013

Having arrived after an all day flight from the East coast we decided to go straight from Palm Springs international airport with our rental car to Manhattan in the Desert for a late evening
fill up. This place is the Jewish deli capital of the west coast. You MUST have the Matzoh ball soup at $4.99 it is a must have. We decided to each get a bowl then also one of us had a Cobb salad ( half salad is giant full salad is a mountain $9.99 & 12.99) I decided on the "Frisco Burger"
( sorry San Franciscan's but I did not name it) this is a half pound beef burger cooked the way you want it on a Grilled Parmesan sourdough bread with melted Swiss cheese and sliced tomato $10.99 The portions are very large especially the "Deli" type of foods this place is fabulous for a sunday or saturday brunch even with tables out door under umbrella's.
It is a full Deli, Bakery and restaurant on East palm canyon drive just east of Farrell on the east bound direction. You will love it and the staff has great attitude. You will notice many don't look Jewish at all but I would say about 3/4 of the servers have been there for many many years as we have been going there with each visit to the desert at least once each year since 2004 and the same people are there to serve you and they do recognize you too! SO go for it.
