I played the NORTH COURSE ( see my review of the South course)! REALLY cool very classic old "formerly exclusive private club"! From entry thru the gorgeous lobby, dining room, bar, "Wall of Fame" (awesome pictures of famous stars)!! Gorgeous grounds, with the awesome 100' high "Disney" fountain in the large lake between 9th & 18th holes! Many awesome mountain views! Lots of great mid century classic houses along fairways to!
Staff is very helpful, especially Marcus ( cart barn mgr.) carted our bags, even introducing me to the 3'some I joined! Tee to Green the course is in great shape (especially for late summer!) Greens are nearly perfect and rolled true and semi-fast! Only Negative... VERY slow play (due to 2 groups ahead that were both over 1 hole behind)! This is not normal for Palm Springs tho... They needed a marshal that day!!! Can't wait to return! =)

Played the North course today. It is in great shape. Tee boxes and fairways are in great shape. Greens are nice and true. Got thru my round in under 3 hours, which is typical for PS golf in the summer. Members are super nice and full of helpful information about their courses. Stopped into the restaurant and had the chicken cesar salad. Delicious, comes with home made croutons. Also enjoy the house chips with a type of BBQ sauce. Quite addicting.
Enjoy.

There are two golf courses at Indian Canyons. The south course is great for women - giving us the break we deserve! The north course used to be a private course and it has a totally different feel. The north course itself may not be as pretty as the south course but the overall experience is awesome. You can tell the staff is proud of the place and they want to make sure your time there is fun (down to the mango scented towel when you finish the round). The restaurant offers great variety (don't fill up on the housemade chips!) and the service in the bar/restaurant area is very attentive - and again, making sure you enjoy your visit. Check out the photos of all the greats who have played there and ask someone about the (still operating) barber shop on the premises. Fun, fun, fun!

Traditional course, fairways run parallel to each other. Fun but not as interesting or pretty as Terra Lago, Tahquitz or Desert Dunes. They did have a discount coupon in one of the visitor books – 2 play for $79,

While most other golf clubs function in off season mode during the summer, this place is fantastic! in 100+ degree heat, the cart girl was out and about 2 holes into the round, a cart guy came around and passed out icy, washcloths to keep in the cooler, to help keep refreshed during the round.. and the towels had a spa clean tonic on it! Carts are fitted with coolers with ice, two bottles of water and dry washcloths.

The course itself was in great shape. Lots of trees to park in the shade. There is NO GPS on the carts, but the markers are very visible and there are no significant blind spots where a GPS is warranted. A very very playable course, with wide fairways and quite a few water hazards and some frustrating bunker placements. Some of the bunkers were more gravel than powdery sand.

The quality of the course, course layout, service and staff are well worth the summer rates. I'll definitely be back to play again and keep on my list of "have to" play courses!
