Great way to spend a morning. This is either a 1.8 or 2.2 mile hike depending on which ranger you talk to and how early in the day it is. It is a moderate hike, up and over rocks, but I saw old farts like myself, and young kids on the trail. The prize is a great view of a 60ft. waterfall; very nourishing.

The hike heads to a canyon with different vegetation than other canyon hikes in Palm Springs. The loop trail leads leads you past a couple of smaller falls, including a double falls hiking to the 60 foot falls at the peak of the trail.
The dam creates a pool the ranges said we could wade and soak our feet in, made a picaresque reflecting pool.
Over all a nice hike,

It's a really short hike, there are loads of people, the scenery is grand.

But why spend all that money when you could go somewhere just as stunning on your own and without paying through the nose?

This is moderate hike up to the waterfall. Going in the spring versus fall is best because more water is flowing for a more spectacular view. The map points out formations and artifacts which are designated by symbols along the way. No pets are allowed.

I really liked this but it was a fair bit over priced for the length of the walk, plus the ticket purchased was only good for one day, as opposed to Joshua Tree National Park, where the ticket is good for a week and costs less. It is worth doing once but there is a trail that starts just after the turn off of MEsquite that is on municipal land, about six miles round trip, that lets you see the canyon and is free.
