This museum will give to an insight of what life was like before the Europeans. How these resilient people survived, even thrived. in the harsh desert is such an incredible story. There are many artifacts such as tools, incredible baskets, wonderful pictures. Bring the kids, they need to know this!

A small but informative stop, that has big plans for a future development. It has displays dealing with many of the sterotypes about "Indians". Also a display about how the local peoples actually lived. It is located along with two historic houses and a historic store front in a small plaza. The houses provide very interesting perspective as to how early citizens of Palm Springs lived just before and after the turn of the 20th century. This plaza is a nice stop in the middle of dowtown Palm Springs.

Great display about the racism Natives face. Hopefully it will be a much bigger museum dedicated to these industrious locals.

This museum is in the heart of Palm Springs, Ca. It is small but very informative about the history of Palm Springs and the valley. It gives the dates of how the Auga Caliente Indians fought for the valley and kept it natural and beautiful. You must see this if you are into history. They want to build a new museum and it is gorgeous. Staff is very helpful.

The museum is on the small side but it was very interesting and rich with culture. The guide was an older gentleman and seemed very concerned about each persons individual experience in this place he loved soo much. He was very passionate about the museums purpose and was very excited to share its history. I watched a very interesting video on "bird dancing" and saw some neat pictures and actual tools used by the indians that occupied the area. It was great!
