this is one of favorite hotels in Palm Springs - we always stay for the American Heat Run and any other time we can - its smaller and cozy with lots of ambiance - the staff is always very nice and friendly

Room Tip: room service I couldn't remove to be honest I am not sure if there is room service but there are...

They placed us in a room over the bar that has a loud band and street noise ALL night. We complained. The front desk called the bar and the noise only got LOUDER, probably on purpose. We were told earlier by the desk that when we booked the room we should have declined being over the bar--and that we'd have known this if we had booked DIRECTLY with them. Since we booked through Expedia, we were not given this room information. At 3 a.m. we could not stand the noise any more, and called Expedia for help. Expedia Customer service was great-- they called the desk, and arranged for us to be "downgraded" but to a quiet room. The new room was very nice, and quiet. We stayed one more evening. We like the hotel and location overall, but booking rooms over the bar for Expedia customers is wrong, unless there is a clear warning on the Expedia site.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a quiet room away from the bar and main street.

I was looking forward to spending a few days beside the pool relaxing while my husband was at a conference. It was all perfect... the birds were singing, the wind was rustling in the palms and the fountain was gurgling. Then at 10:00 AM a commercial radio station was turned on all 3 days. I was shocked and annoyed. Who wants to listen to that crap when they are trying to relax. If people want music they use IPods. That's what they are for. Being forced to listen to insipid music and annoying commercials while relaxing is the exact opposite of relaxing. It ruined Andreas Hotel for me.

It was an extremely pleasant experience. Andreas Hotel and Spa is a very friendly and hospitable place and the ambiance is just right, The staff is very friendly and helpful and I would like to particularly mention the name of Rosey who went that extra mile to make my stay more comfortable. I saw the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence displayed in the lobby which says it all and therefore no more words are necessary. Thank you Andreas Hotel and Spa and thank you Rosey.

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at - great location, personable and friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and excellent spa. We enjoy staying at smaller, boutique hotels so when we decided to visit Palm Springs for a convention we figured we would give this place a try. We are very glad we did. The location is fabulous - 1 block from the convention center and 1 block off the main drag. We parked the car upon arrival and never drove it again until we left, as we were able to walk to everything.
The personable staff is one of the shining points at the Andreas. Upon arrival, Nick greeted us and gave us a tour on the way to our room - yes, he walked us to our room and showed us how the lights and the fireplace worked (sounds like a minor detail, but the lights were odd and the fireplace had a special remote). While the room was not large - enough room for the queen bed, a small chair, and dresser in addition to the bathroom - it was quite plush and elegantly decorated. We were on the second floor and the exposed ceiling beams and unique diamond shaped fogged block glass windows added charm. The robes were on the bed with a mint - a nice touch. The bathroom was very large, though honestly a poor use of space - for the size, it only had a small, 1 sink vanity that was tucked in a nook, so only one person could be at the sink at a time, and the shower was quite tight. Still, very nicely decorated bathroom with high end touches.
The one drawback to the room was the bed - for such an opulent hotel with granite and beautiful upgrades everywhere, the bed was an innerspring mattress that squeaked and woke me up every time my husband moved. Why they haven't spent the money even on memory foam pads is beyond me. But honestly, this was the only drawback and one I can get over.
The spa is also work a visit - and if you go, as for Buck. I had a morning package of a mineral soak and foot reflexology. The soaking tub was great and very relaxing, but the reflexology was the best part. Buck definitely knows what he is doing - I suffer from headaches and had one for over a week that nothing would get rid of. 30 minutes of reflexology on my feet and it was gone - and it's still gone today 24 hours later! He did such a good job, I came back later to have reflexology done of my hands, which succeeded in helping my jaw muscles relax.
All in all, this is a fabulous hotel and worth every penny. We will definitely stay here again, though next time we might upgrade to a jacuzzi room!

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the back side (Indian Springs Road) as the rooms on the front of the hotel over...

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed. Staff was very helpful. Accommodations were excellent. Breakfast had a lot of good choices. There are many very good restaurants within walking distance. We definitely will come back.

We had never been to this hotel. We got a Living Social package that included 2 nights for two, breakfast both days, champagne on arrival in room, and a couples mineral soak and messages. This was just the best experiance I've had. The staff is wonderful, and helpful. The rooms were very nice, rooms had fireplaces in them !! Pool area is very cozy. No children around, so no scraming at the pool, just adults relaxing and enjoying surroundings. I don't think they intentionaly exclude children, I think everyone just knows this isn't a place for kids. I would highly recommend this place for a romantic weekend or special celebration. We meet some very nice people that we will keep in touch with. This hotel is located one block from down town, resturants and shops. Within walking distance. We didn't need our car at all. That was very nice.
