Beautiful example of a desert oasis with various palms and a small stream running through it. Areas available to have picnic. Well signed trails.

This is a great place to go hiking. Go early in the day to avoid the heat. It is a beautiful oasis in the desert. The hiking isn't very strenuous and makes for a pleasant way to spend some time in the desert.

Great hike under the palm trees on the trace. No breeze, bring plenty of water. What I thought was interesting is that there are restrooms down where the trails start and that there is a map to signify east, moderate or hard trails.

We visited both palm and Andreas canyons in this Indian reservation, both very different and awe inspiring. If you can be there when the ranger does his talk, we did the 1 pm one, it's a MUST. I forget his name, but I am sure all of them are amazing. He was very animated, clearly loved his job and had such huge respect for the cahuilla Indians, whom still own the land. The stories are incredible and it felt like a HUGE honour to be able to enjoy their sacred land!
