We took the 2 mile loop, although all of the publicity writes about guided tours at 8, 10 and 1 we arrived at 10 to be told only the 8 am guided tour runs in the summer due to the heat. It was 111 on the day we went, although it's only just under 2 miles you need plenty of water because you climb over 300 feet. It is worth it as you turnaround at a waterfall which must look fantastic in spring.
We saw a coyotee and a few lizards on our walk, it made a nice change from the pool.
