Decided to take a walk one morning which I would suggest since it can get hot quickly. Went up to the top which was little over a mile, enjoyed the views and hike. Next time we'll do the entire route which is about six miles.

If you visit before the heat wave, get out of downtown and hike all the Indian Canyons. All levels of trails, well signed, well preserved. Extraordinary vistas and expereiences.

Great grove of palms, a little creek and giant boulders. Easy hiking for the little ones. Crazy how close you are to downtown Palm Springs.

This is a great place to hike, take photos, and visit the Trading Post. Palm Canyon is an easy hike down to the canyon, and a lovely place to visit. There were many hummingbirds near the Trading Post that fascinated us. The Trading Post sells snacks, pop, souvenirs, and Native American items and crafts. It is worth the $9 or so that it costs to enter the canyon. Be sure to hike to the waterfall behind the Trading Post back by the restrooms. It is a short 300 feet distance to the falls. You can hear the running water near the restrooms, it is not far. I am so glad that we visited Palm Canyon. I would like to see what the other canyons are like, too.

Well run with great customer service at the "post." Hikes for short, medium and long trails. clean and well taken care of.This is managed by Native Americans (do not recall the tribe) and they do a great job.
