“Best breakfast choice”
Reviewed November 17, 2013 via mobile

Big portions prepared well with old fashioned tastes. Service is attentive and professional. We had Tony and Marvin waiting on us with everything we asked for they provided, quickly and efficiently. The food was fun and tasty. We shared the German pancakes, don't bother with the fruit unless they serve it on the side because the pancake is not the same without the powered sugar, lots of lemon and butter slathered all over. Both are, however, served with eggs and sausage patties (or bacon, ham, links, chicken sausage) we also split a shrimp and crab omelet that came with 3 6inch pancakes. Enough for everyone. Great choice and reasonably priced.

“Fantastic breakfast - Pancakes were the best!”
Reviewed November 15, 2013

We enjoyed Saturday breakfast with mimosas, pancakes, eggs, biscuits and gravy! The restaraunt looks like an old VI however, the food is incredible. We shared the Hazelnut Pancakes and the Country Syle Benedict. A perfect pancake, tasty gravy, juicy sausage...The serving sizes are big so come hungry. The pitcher of mimosa was cheaper than by the glass. there were 4 of us and it was enough for 1.5 each.

We did call ahead seating as they do get busy. The service was outstanding and attentive. The restaurant is a little loud just because of the design. It didn't bother us - just don't expect a quiet table! It also looked like they had a patio although we sat inside. We will be back!!!

“Great old-fashioned breakfast joint”
Reviewed November 14, 2013

My husband and I ate here a few times for breakfast, and really enjoyed it. It is a great value, service is attentive and food comes out fast and just how you like it. Biscuits are perfect, and the Saturday Market Skillet really hit the spot. If you are hungry, don't want a long wait, and just want a guaranteed great breakfast, go here. It isn't fancy, but it's good.

“greeat bargain and wonderful food”

We usually eat breakfast here and the omelets are perfect. They are open for 3 meals a day and are always full. That speaks volumes about them.

“Feels and looks like a coffee shop ... eats like a four star!”
Reviewed November 1, 2013

What can one say about this iconic restaurant ... except ... don't miss it when you are in Palm Springs!
We have never been unhappy with the food, the service, the surroundings ... it is just a happy, somewhat noisy place to have really good food in a bright setting ...
Whether it is breakfast or lunch, you can't miss. The menu is huge ... and fully loaded with everything you would want. And ... in the tradition of a true coffee shop ... you can have anything you want at any time ...
Breakfasts are their busiest times ... tables filled with families, kids, tourists, locals ... and friendly, professional waiters who know everything about the menu. Most of them have been there for years ... I like that in a place!
The walls are adorned with blown up photos of days gone by ... Frank and Sammy, many Presidents, Sonny Bono and Frank Bogert ... Einstein! Worth your time just to drop in for a cup of coffee to look at those photos.
And as busy as it is, there is not much of a wait, either for a table or for your food. Well run machine!
Try the chicken fried steak ... and the biscuits ... and the bacon ... oh, the bacon!! I really think you could close your eyes and just point to anything on the menu and you would be happy.
I can hardly wait to go back ... this weekend, for sure!
