“Great diner experience”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

Had breakfast at Elmer's after reading reviews on Yelp. Overall, great experience and would definitely recommend. Large menu with options for everyone in our group. Food was hot and everything tasted fresh, especially the egg/omelet dishes. Service was attentive and the owner, Fred, even came by to introduce himself and ask about our meal.

Great staff, large portions (groan) and tasty breakfast favorites at reasonable prices. What more could you ask?

Happy to see Elmer's down here, but it wasn't as high quality as the ones up north. Service was awesome, though!

“A lot to choose from on the menu”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

We ate here for breakfast because every place in the center of town was going to require too long of a wait. They also serve lunch and dinner although we only had breakfast.

There is a lot to choose from on the menu. I ordered an egg scramble with tomatoes, zucchini, spinach and cheese. Personally, I like more veggies than what was there but it is probably sufficient for most people. My husband ordered crab cakes Benedict placed on whole wheat toast instead or their white muffins. We shared our meals and we both agreed that the crab cakes benedict was the better of the two orders.

The ambiance of the place is a bit like being in the 1960’s but the furnishings are not from the 60’s, they are much more recent. The restaurant is a good size, maybe twice the size of a Denny’s. Apparently, Elmes is a popular chain in Oregon.

We would definitely eat here again. Our food was nothing fantastic but it was good and there are many items on the menu to choose from. The atmosphere is open and comfortable.

You can see their menu on their web site - www. eatatelmers. com (I separated the URL - just close in the spaces)

The food is great, prepared from really fresh ingredients. The vintage decor and patrons will give you plenty to look at while you wait,
