We ordered delivery because it was the only place and we saw 3 star rating. What a joke. We ordered tofu veg soup which consisted of tofu, napa cabbage and hot water and no spoon (maybe that was a blessing).
combo chow mein, chop suey
spicy shrimp
Incredibly bland, tasted of nothing.

$44 with tip
Don't waste your time or money

there are some pretty good Thai places up and down the street.
I don't know how they stay in business.

People of Palm Springs and visitors beware!

Do NOT order food from this restaurant. It is the worst Chinese (if you call it that) imaginable. They simply don't care about (1) ingredients; (2) food prep / presentation; (3), and, value. The fact is that the Great Wall food is inedible and cannot be eaten without having to immediately rush off to hurl. All in, our order for two was $45 with a tip. Enough money for a stomach pump and some powerful mints to clean the palate. Oh, by the way, I work for Riverside County in an executive role and these people are going to get a visit from our Department of Health.

BEWARE: DON'T ORDER FROM THE GREAT WALL!

As a tourist from germany I know well how bad chinese can transform their cuisine. But this was definitely one of the worst chinese food experiences I ever made!

The owner skimps on everything, why won´t he economise the open times of his business? We tried szechuan chicken and mongolian beef + steamed rice, but sorry to the other critics, also the steamed rice was poor qulity. You just only can enjoy the Tsingtao!

We recently visited the Great Wall Chinese Restaurant for a Friday afternoon lunch. The restaurant was completely empty except for the first booth at the front window which was occcupied by two women presenting a business proposal of some sort to the restaurant owner. The restaurant owner interrupted his meeting to come over and seat us...placing us in the very next booth to his meeting, even though the entire restaurant was empty. He immediately returned to his place at the meeting, where the women were presenting a program of proposals and were quite loud in their comments. We were uncomfortable overhearing their discussion, and so we reseated ourselves several booths down from them; the owner seemed not to notice.

We were soon waited on by a quietly courteous waiter, and our beverages were served timely. I ordered three flavor soft noodle chow mein, while my guest ordered lemon chicken. We were promptly served egg flower soup.
The chow mein noodles were served steaming hot...so much so they were thick and mushy...clearly reheated and overcooked.
Egg flower soup was okay...but we've had much better Chinese food elsewhere. This wasn't good. Uncomfortable restaurant, less than average to poor food.
We won't be back.
