Enjoyed our dinner here - They were out of the wine we wanted so they comped us an after dinner drink. Nice touch!

“hidden gem”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

We started going here about 2-3 years ago, and the reason I titled this "hidden gem" is that it is quite hidden in a shopping center nearby. We've lived here in Palm Springs for 11 years, and had never heard of the place. They do very little advertising, so that is understandable.
They don't have to do a lot of advertising, as the food, atmosphere and service speak for themselves, and word-of-mouth works very well.
Miro and his wife and son and staff make the experience always enjoyable, with service that is impeccible.
Favorites of mine are the stroganoff, pork schnitzel and goulash. The tomato soup is also great, as are the other soups and salads. We don't tend to eat desserts, but they look great.
This is a very quiet and romantic spot to take your significant other. But, they have tables that seat up to 10 guests, and they can put others together for larger parties. Reservations are a must during the high season (October-May).

“ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS FOOD!!”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

We had an absolutely delicious meal and it was so satisfying!! The quality and quantity were perfect!! One of us had the 'sampler' and it was OMG!! The meal was like being prepared in someone's home...in Hungary! The salad and bread offering was a wonderful start and we only wish we could have come back one more time...but there's always next year, when we hopefully will return. We met the owner's and they both were very cordial and pleasant.

“Hard to find, but worth it!”
Reviewed April 13, 2013

One of the main streets in Palm Springs is called Palm Canyon Drive. It is "L" shaped and skirts the city near the mountains. As it starts in the north, heads south, and finally east it changes names. N Palm Canyon becomes S Palm Canyon and then E Palm Canyon. There are many establishments (bars, shops, hotels etc) along the North and South portion, and more residential and businesses to the east. Miro's is right near where south turns to east. Instead of turning left, remain in the right lane and you will see it on the right. They have been here almost 20 years and have a simple but good European menu. We had a roasted red pepper feta cheese appetizer that was really good. The Beef Stroganoff was the best I have ever had, and the Mediteranean chicken was good as well. The patio was pleasant to dine on and the homemade bread was delicious. Entrees start at around $23. Finding this place was kind of confusing as the addresses kept changing, when the street changed, but I am glad we persisted. We didn't have reservations, but were seated immediately on a weekday night.

“Did not live up to expectations”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

We went to Miro's based on TA reviews and were very disappointed with pretty much everything. Our wait for our food was long, the food was average at best and the only nice touch was the owner came out to apologize for the wait after our meal was done; a nicer touch would have been to give us an aperitif or dessert on the house. No place for foodies.
