Got to stay here for Coachella and then returned for Modernism Week. That something this tranquil is an opportunity mere blocks from a host of restaurants, galleries, and tennis was a pleasant surprise. When you are done with the fast pace, cocktails, and noise of the rest of downtown, just walk through the gates of the Hideaway and the beautiful view to the mountain.

Room tip: Get one of the west facing queens where you can awake to the mountain view reflecting off the pool

We were amazed at the beautiful property, so close to downtown. Every room has a view of the pool. Our room had an amazing view of the mountains. The Hideaway allows for you get the whole mid-century, old Hollywood get-away feel with all the modern conveniences. There is so much we enjoyed...
- Mid-century architecture, furniture & decor
- Record player with a huge selection of records
- Great A/C and an ice maker (just steps from the room)
- Big, clean saltwater pool with the best float loungers
- Lots of lounge chairs, some with shade, some with sun, just about any time of day
- Blazing fire pit with seating surrounding it
- Secure property allowing for mostly behind-the-scenes staff & support, giving you the feeling that it's your own private, vintage condo
- Small outdoor, semi-secluded seating area outside every room
- Large shared dining & living room/den area with a wide view of the pool and mountains
- Property is a quick 3 min walk to the heart of downtown
- The adults only policy and quiet pool was the best. Just right for chilling.

Simply lovely. A perfect weekend away.

Stayed in Palm Springs recently for a conference. The Hideaway is located downtown and just minutes walk from the conference centre, and endless bars and restaurants.

The room was generous with brilliant mid century stylings. I expected Frank Sinatra or Don Draper to hand me a towel as I stepped from the stunning pool after a midnight swim.

Credit to owner Eric for his welcoming yet unintrusive management style.

Can’t wait to return to this gem

The hotel is lovely. We stayed in Lucy and Ricky's -- the room on the end. The décor is authentic mid-century modern. Everything works and is sparkling clean. The grounds are almost idyllic -- grass like a putting green, crystal clear pool, nice privacy afforded by the landscaping -- and beautifully lit at night. Street parking was no problem for us (mid-February), and driving is unnecessary for doing things in town. GM Eric is delightful, and offered useful and good recommendations for the next spot on our itinerary. We loved this hotel and will stay here again when in Palm Springs. On top of everything else, it seems like a great bargain.

Wow, I am so happy I discovered the Hideaway. It was so perfect in every way. The location is great; we got Doris Day parking when we arrived, and never moved the car because we were able to walk everywhere. Our room (#112) was spacious and wonderfully appointed with midcentury furniture. Where did they get those matching light fixtures? So fun! The bed was like a cloud — so comfortable. And I don't know if you're looking for party central with a bunch of bachelorettes and bros who shout "whooo" constantly, but this place is not it. It is so relaxing and peaceful and civilized. The walls must be super-insulated because you do not hear your neighbors. There was a swanky cocktail party by the pool the evening we were there, with about a hundred stylish people, but we didn't even hear them inside our room. Eric, the general manager, texted us the morning of our arrival with check-in information and made sure everything was set. There is no front desk to check into, so you get the code to buzz yourself into the property, and your room is open, and you pick up your keys on the bed. So efficient! There was a complimentary bottle of water in the refrigerator when we got there. Really, this place is chill. If you need a quiet getaway, this is it. Thank you, Hideaway! I'm a fan!
