We stayed here after spending a week at the sister property the Orbit In. The Hideaway is set on a larger plot and has a bigger pool and a garden area. This was the second time we stayed here and again had an amazing time & didn't want to leave. It's a great location & would highly recommend staying here if visiting Palm Springs.

Last Memorial Day weekend, two of my best friends stayed at the Hideaway and I visited them. I didn't want to leave,so this year I made sure that I booked a room at the Hideaway right along with them. I prefer unique over corporate, and quality over quantity. The Hideaway has around suites that wrap around a perfect salt water pool. I had the sami studio which is small but ideal for one. Most of the rest of the units are much bigger and are perfect for couples. Once you're inside the gate, you really do feel like you're at peaceful retreat. The mountain feels like it's part of the decor and the trees and landscaping are charming and lovely. There's a breakfast included in the room charge that includes bagels and cream cheese, fresh fruit and granola and the like. Why wait in line for an overpriced brunch everyday when you can stay here. The rooms include a microwave and a mini-fridge so it's like staying at a condo. People come and go as they check in and out day by day so a small revolving cast of characters around the pool is very entertaining. Everyone's respectful of noise levels and everyone's gaga for the pool. There are also bikes available. The Hideaway is something special and I can't wait until my next visit. Bill, the owner, is an absolute joy to deal with and there's also Kevin at the front desk at the Orbit Room down the block who is super nice and really helpful.

Room tip: This is great for adults, not a kids place.

we loved the grounds and the heated pool and breakfast at the hotel was very convenient and copious. The weather was great and Bill the host showed us around. The 50''s decor in the rooms is great. We were very pleased.

We travelled to Palm Springs for the first time, the last week of Feb/2016. I really wanted to experience some of Mid-Century Modernism week, and what better way to do so than stay at the Hideaway and really experience the mid-century ambience and architecture first hand. What a great experience! From the moment we arrived, until we left through the gate, we enjoyed every minute of our stay. This classic Palm Springs hotel was everything I had hoped for - it's a small motel-style hotel, but big on welcoming atmosphere and amenities. We had one of the smaller rooms, but it suited us just fine - loved the furnishing and the included turntable and records - nice touch! The pool was wonderful & relaxing, and the surrounding lawns are maintained meticulously, and really add the feeling of being a guest at a close friends house; it's quiet, but guests get to know each other casually, if you want to join in around the firepit. The included breakfast was just wonderful, and more than plenty; all-day snacks in the kitchen and drinks are a nice touch. The beds were comfy, the rooms were clean and cozy, and the staff at the hotel are so nice and ready to help out at any request for directions, recommendations, whatever. It's a brief walk to downtown Palm Springs, an easy walk-about to the Tennis neighbourhood for early morning walks. There is on-street parking, and we never had any difficulty getting a spot. It's very close to the airport, but we didn't hear airplane noise all week. Guests at Hideaway can venture over to The Oribitinn for cocktail hour and to enjoy the hot tub there. We just loved our stay, and will definitely come back!

Room tip: All the rooms seemed great to us; we were beside the shared kitchen, yet there were no noise issues at all.

Seriously fun experience in the midst of PS's Mid-Century Modern area just off Palm Canyon's most populous stores and restaurants. Gold coins for location, amenities, cleanliness, value, fun factor and host interaction. Historic architecture from the late 40's, and it all works. Pool is great and no time of day restrictions. Free bikes. WiFi free but slow. Fabulously attentive hosts who know everything! Nice breakfast and evening fire pit.

Room tip: Dino's Den, a larger suite-like unit was superb
