Jiao has a selection of Asian fusion dishes in which the pineapple and Chinese sausage fried rice is delicious. The shared dishes of oriental dumplings and Japanese style eggplant are full of flavour. There are also 4 dipping sauces to go with our dishes which allows us to be adventurous with our food. A nice place for couples and friends!

We had lunch and an assortment of items at Jiao.
Since this is one of the restaurants on Palm Springs main street that had their patio open with heaters we sat outside which was nice. The staff was very friendly.
We had the Noodle with grilled pork which was excellent.
The Chicken Noodle Pho (Noodle) soup was bland and uninspired but they took it off our bill which was a nice surprise!
We also had a couple of starters; The dumplings which were tasty and the calamari which was ok.
Overall the launch was good but not great.
I think reading some of the other reviews about this restaurant, that you'll find it generally uneven overall.
What we had was better than some but worse than others. I also think that the eclectic nature of the asian influenced menu makes it inevitable that some things will be executed better than others.
Give it a try! The vietnamese dishes appeared to be better than the chinese and japanese but we didn't try everything!

The food was very disappointing. The vegetarian spring rolls were acceptable but the Pad Thai was rather plain and tasteless. The fried chicken legs were raw around the bone - quite a shock - and had to be sent back. Not acceptable. The server was charming and helpful throughout and made up, partly, for the poor food.

Ate here tonight and was very disappointed. Had the wonton soup which was very garlicky but otherwise tasteless, then the calamari which was rubbery served with a tasteless aioli, followed by a Pad Thai that was boiled noodles with green onion, bean sprouts and missable chicken pieces with no flavour. The only plus was that when the server noted how little I had eaten she took the Pad Thai off the bill. I can't see giving the place a second try.

Jiao was not our destination but it was so inviting, all those tables on the main street, great for people watching on a busy night, the full moon coming up between the palm trees, should have been perfect. Well, not quite. The meal, while ok, was not memorable. A shared plate of calamari was worth it, along with some great condiments, but the street chicken dish, four drumsticks on wilted arugula , did not ring any bells, nor did the pork shank in a well seasoned broth. Again, just ok. No real excitement. Diners who want to try "Asian" but are a little timid would be at home here.
