“Perfectly decent, large room - nice pool area and landscaping”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

I looked to book something for mid-March in January and had a really hard time as most places were either booked or ludicrously expensive. Ended up at 7 Springs and really can't complain:-
PROS
- large room, very comfortable king-sized bed, full kitchen, dining table, huge bathroom
- very nice pool areas (1 for swimming, 2 different jacuzzis) open until midnight, which was awesome
- very friendly staff who agreed to stay late (front desk closes at 1am) if our flight was delayed and let us check out at 3pm as our flight wasn't until 5.30pm, which meant we could have another lovely day at the pool.
- walking distance to main drag (we managed fine without a car and never even took a cab)
- quiet (there were kids but somehow we only saw them at the pool)

CONS
- extremely squeaky floorboards in room above (though luckily could not hear voices and they didn't keep late hours)
- ran out of pool towels at front desk
- no restaurant or bar
- pretty old tv though it worked just fine

The room was nothing special decor-wise, though it had been renovated and was apparently the honeymoon suite as it contained a 2-person jacuzzi bathtub next to the bed (?). Perfectly serviceable.

Room Tip: We were in 130 - very large but a bit dark, not that I minded really since it kept it cool. Top flo...

Want to getaway? (but not for too long). Book the 7 Springs Inn & Suites located at 950 North Canyon Drive. In the past, we have stayed more at the central hub of tourism in the heart of downtown. But 7 Springs is just north of downtown, and one block over from the main drag that leads to downtown, 15 minutes by foot and 2 minutes by car. In fact North Canyon drive is turning into a long row of boutique and renovated motels.
One block over is Palm Canyon Drive and at the north end you will find a blossoming node of galleries and design shops plus restaurants. One block over from 7 Springs is "John's" restaurant which serves large, cheap breakfast/lunches to the locals.(900 North Palm Canyon Drive).
So here's my suggestion for the mid week experience in March. Check in Tuesday night and get up early and go to the Indian Canyons Trails at the Agua Caliente Indian Reservation, within 15-20 minutes from where you are staying. There are numerous trails. But go early! This past week, there was some unusually hot weather and by mid afternoon it was in the mid-90's.
Come back and have lunch and then head over to the Indian Wells Tennis Tournament. Fabulous facility, now considered THE event for tennis fans outside of the four grand slams.
You can even wait and just get into the evening matches (alot cooler). If you just want to take a chance, there may be tickets available day of event of otherwise for good seats you must book far in advance.
Thursday morning get out to the shops (early again) and then catch a movie or hang out by the pool until 4pm. On Thursdays, you can go to the Palm Springs Art Museum for free after 4pm.
When you get out of the museum it will be time for Thursday night Street Fair. You can't miss it it goes on for blocks on Palm Canyon Drive, several blocks from the museum. The Palm Springs Art Museum is considered one of the top ten mid size museums in the country.
Friday morning, have breakfast at John's, and then get out of town. I hope you enjoy your Mid Week early spring weekend as much as we did!

Room Tip: Rooms vary quite a bit. So ask questions, prior to booking. Some are quieter than others and some ar...

we got to town with no idea where to stay and came across this lovely place. Oscar at the front desk and Ed the friendliest manager ever, were super. We had a lovely room, great location and the hotel is clean, cool and conveniently located. Our one night stay was way too short- we hope to get back again soon!

We have stayed here two years in a row and love it. It is small, well kept and has a peaceful atmosphere, two pools and a laundry, All the rooms are nice but a couple are actually one bedroom apartments or suites with a full kitchen. It is a nice walk into town - about 10 minutes. Jennifer and the rest of the staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: No elevator.

Great location, close to downtown. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very big hot tub right outside our door. Bed was comfortable. Only minor thing we had a little problem with was the heater/ac, however the weather was great when we were there and so heater/as not really needed. Wife complained of being "stuffy" and the staff brought over a fan for her. We would stay here again.

My wife, myself, and two great friends stayed at this small, stylish hotel for a Modernism Week weekend.

Our first night was okay. The king bed and its pillows were exceptionally soft and comfortable. The decor was inviting: colorful and bright. However, the room was difficult to sleep in for two reasons:

The room door was mostly window (which looks cool, and feels nice in the day,) but it had turning blinds for privacy at night. This allowed in a lot of moonlight, and bright walkway light. The room was also next to an exit door, which was loud enough to wake me up whenever the "Please close gently" sign on it was ignored by patrons.

The next morning our stellar front desk clerk, Jennifer, listened to our concerns, and later that day she set us up with a different king room, this time on the upper level. To our joy, the luscious bed was the same type as the last room, and we slept the next two nights flawlessly.

Jennifer went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. She is exactly the type of concierge that can change your entire vacation. I hope her manager reads this, and commends her for her valuable and friendly attitude toward her guests.

We would absolutely stay here again. This is and excellent hub location for bike rides, walking to restaurants, museums, architecture sightseeing, and shopping, all without the noise of the main North Palm Canyon Drive din.

Room Tip: I suggest an upper-level room. They are quieter.
