I do not like to write bad reviews but in this case feel compelled to do so. Their rating would have been average if not for the $264 cost per night -that brought it down to poor for services received. My daughter and I thought we were saving this for our last 3 nights as it would be the best..and it fell far short of our expectations. Having read the reviews we expected a great stay at a small unique inn. I want to save others from being disappointed as we were. First the good..good beds and bedding. The other usual amenities that would be expected small refrig. microwave, iron, flat screen tv ,pool, hot tub. We paid $264 a night...so yes we expected a bit more than a very dated room. We stayed in Shake rattle and roll and yes the photo in the ad is the room-- maybe 20 years ago or "sharpened up a bit" . It was not clean. When we moved the sofa to watch tv dust bunnies from 2018 were there along with rose petals from previous guests stay. They may still be there as I was not about to clean it!!This room should have been CLEAN when we arrived. We were excited about the jacuzzi tub..til we found all the dirt under the sofa then we are thinking..nope probably never clean the jets. I doubt if we could have filled it with warm water as our showers- we were told let the water run for a bit we did still had lukewarm and were hoping to get done before it turned completely cold. How could it possibly fill a jacuzzi with hot water..I don't believe it possible. Ok so room is not what we were expecting but breakfast oh yes it is going to be great! Not. It is not false advertising as they did give us fruit smoothie and fruit and hot entree...will not go into details but if you are expecting anything resembling the photo in ad...it isn't going to happen. Ok breakfast not as expected but we have happy hour to look forward to. Glass of wine- red or white, a skewer about 4" long with olives, artichokes a small platter of crackers maybe 10 in total and about 4 cubes of cheese this is happy hour. No one came around to ask if anyone wanted more of anything..this was it! I see bicycles in ad,,,never saw them there never saw anyone riding one but perhaps they have them hidden somewhere. You are in the North of town and it is not a good walk for anyone. It is a short walk but not in the "desirable" location. At $264 a night I expect what their ad shows...nice spiffy retro rooms Palm springs type pool area, breakfast and a great happy hour. I was disappointed on all counts. There are too many wonderful small inns at less cost and give you more for your money. For those giving these rave reviews ...you should try some of the other inns and you will find you are paying way too much here for nothing. I do have to say however the staff was courteous and friendly. The last night we made a pitcher of a drink we called "Palm springs Delight" and shared it with everyone around the firepit and yes one of the staff helped us drink it. It was the best happy hour we had there!! $264 a night ....nope not worth $164 a night--that would be pushing it! Old property and though they did provide breakfast it certainly was not the breakfast pictured and happy hour...sorry..... it is not just a glass of wine.
