Had a fantastic stay here for 4 days as part of a weeks vacation only wish it could have been longer but sadly everyone else knows how good it is as it was booked up for the remainder of
Our stay. The breakfast is a great start to the day being 3 courses then there are cocktails and appetisers and the lovely Betty bakes cakes and biscuits daily as a treat for the guests. We stayed in room route 66 which was very spacious and had a great view out to the pool. There is a reason this place is rated so highly so come and see for yourselves and thanks to all the people who post (mainly honest) reviews as this is how we found our gem. Look forward to coming back again.

My fiancé and I had to be in the area to attend to a family matter. Staying at the Rendezvous made our down time pure delight. The quality of the property is very good, the hospitality is outstanding.
It took us awhile to figure out where to stay, so by the time we did, there wasn't a room that was available for the four nights we were there, so we got to experience two different rooms. We did experience one miniscule snafu with this in that we were told our belongings would be moved for us from one room to the other while we were out. This was not communicated effectively to the person responsible that day, so we had to retrieve our items. Minor blip.
The rooms: our first night we stayed in the Rebel Without A Cause room. This is one of the two rooms that does not have a jacuzzi. But you know what, I loved this room. Between the effective use of space and the pallette of colors used to design this room, it reminded me of the Frank Lloyd Wright places I'd visited in Pennsylvania last summer. Our remaining nights were spent in the Silver Screen room. Turns out we only wound up using the jacuzzi one of the nights. It was more enjoyable to sit in the hot tub in the evening. There was just a little more space to the Silver Screen room, offering a futon type couch and a coffee table.
In true bed'n'breakfast type style, there's a diary type book in each room for guests to share their experiences. There's also a comments sheet to share with the staff any suggestions you might have.
In room toiletries by a company called Bee Kind were nice. I liked the facial exfoliating washcloth that was provided for makeup removal. I appreciated the clock radio/ipod docking station.
I look forward to future visits and experiencing some of the other rooms, but I would happily enjoy the Rebel Without A Cause again.
The overall experience is outstanding. Part of choosing this spot in the first place was the added value of breakfast plus happy hour plus fresh-baked bedside treats. These all added up to outstanding. One of the nights a variation was provided on the Blue Martini and Betty had whipped up some margaritas! Oh, she makes some naughty good margaritas. The breakfasts were all substantial. Having some water and soft drinks stocked in the room was appreciated as well.
The service and the environment are really outstanding here. The high ratings are deserved. If you're pondering this location, just go ahead and make your reservation. We missed our opportunity to return to the Palm Springs Rendezvous this month because the rooms were already booked up.

Room Tip: The Rebel Without A Cause room is a very cool option.

My wife and I headed out to Palm Springs again this year for Modernism Week and we were lucky enough to get into the Rendezvous! This was our 4th stay there and once again it proved to be spectacular. We met some new folks who were running the show this year but the level of service was just as excellent as our previous trips. Barb and Chris made us feel right at home! We stayed in the Pretty in Pink suite this time around and it was amazing. Even with all the pink (as expected I might add), the room has a great setup with the jacuzzi tub and even a separate vanity area which my wife took full advantage of. The breakfast was fantastic everyday and of course the Rendez"blue" martinis were great as usual for the nightly cocktail hour. It's always a relaxing stay and again we met some great people while enjoying the pool and hot tub. We can only hope to get in for Modernism Week again next year! Thanks for the great stay.

Room Tip: We have stayed in four different rooms. All are excellent in their own way, but for decor and locat...

My wife and I just completed a three day stay. The beds are very comfortable, the staff extremely helpful and the food is delicious. The courtyard pool and hot tub with a supplied martini is the perfect end to a vacation day.

I look forward to staying here again

I was pleased with every aspect. If you are looking for a snooty high end resort, this is not for you. The rooms are "camp" but are "camp" on purpose. The service is outstanding. Breakfast was so filling and delicious that we were able to skip lunch while on the golf course with an 11am tee time. The guests were all respectful of the quiet hours around the pool at night and if you wanted you could be social over blue martinis and breakfast or hang to yourself. On our last day most everyone was out and about in the afternoon and we had the pool and sun completely to ourselves. Heaven. We didn't want to leave the pool to get lunch so Jake guided us as to where we could order delivery of Thai food and we ate lunch poolside.
We will definitely be repeat customers.

Room Tip: We enjoyed the location and quiet of the Stagecoach room.

One word - AMAZING!

All the excellent reviews posted about staff, breakfast, rooms, pool, etc. cover it all. I did not want to leave and I can't wait to go back.

When you are reluctant to leave a place it hits you how much the stay was enjoyed. We booked our room for 3 nights but we loved Palm Springs and Rendezvous so much we extended 2 more nights. My husband and I felt at home and with the Happy Hour at 5 pm with light snacks we spent a lot of time talking to other guests. (Blue Martinis were great) The included breakfasts were yummy and when we returned to our room at night there was a jar of homemade goodies also. This was our first visit to Palm Springs and all the staff were eager to help us with all our questions. We were told about all the best hiking trails and parks. We stayed in the Crooners room and loved all the old pictures of the Rat Pack. The place was very quiet at night, we were never disturbed by other guests, surprising since all the rooms surround the nice pool and hot tub. We were supposed to spend more time in San Diego-guess we will just have to make it a different trip. But I would want to come back to Palm Springs Rendezvous!
