We loved our visit to La Maison. We knew we were somewhere special the moment we walked through the ornate gate into the lush green oasis of the courtyard. Suddenly all of the stress of a day of travel melted away and the relaxing began. Cornelia and Richard made us feel so welcome.
During our stay we were able to tour all of the rooms. Each one is unique and beautifully decorated.
Breakfast in the morning with Cornelia's lavender scones and cappuccino made by Richard. Complimentary wine and beer by the pool at night.
All of these lovely personal touches made this a very unique place to stay and I will recommend this to our friends.

Had a 4 day weekend travel opportunity come up suddenly last weekend and after a short search on line found La Maison. Normally stay at larger resorts, but not in the mood for that this time around. Wanted something smaller and quiet. Coming out of the snow and freezing cold in the Utah mountains, we just wanted to feel the sun again! Owners of the hotel, Richard and Cornelia were the perfect hosts making us feel welcome and at home from the start. Room was great, bed was great, pool and hot tub were perfect temps. Mornings were particularly special stepping just outside our room to poolside where we enjoyed the warmth of the rising sun and a breakfast of just picked grapefruit and oranges, yogurts, bagels, etc. and one of the best double caps I've ever had! Both Richard and Cornelia can make a great cappuccino or latte if you prefer. Loved their dog, "Murphy" who was so laid back and personable to each guest. Made the stay feel like home even more. The grounds are very private but you don't feel closed in . . . very open. Beautiful tall palms sway overhead and hummingbirds are all around. Really a great experience and highly recommended. Just what we were hoping for!

Room Tip: Recommend a room on ground floor, but check out the hotel website for 4 to 6 photos of each individual room before making your reservation.

My wife and I loved our recent stay at La Maison.
We have been coming to Palm Springs off and on for over 10 years and we have discovered that southern old Palm Springs is the best place to stay as far as climate and shelter from the wind … a feature of Palm Springs which is not widely advertised but has blighted some of our early holidays in the area when we stayed further east.
La Maison is one of the smaller properties in the area, (about 15 rooms), but it is very peaceful and private and offers a haven of hospitality and service.
Re-opened last year under the new management of Richard and Cornelia the property is undergoing a renaissance in service and through small facelifts to bathrooms and common areas that Richard carries out during the off-season. It is the presence of Richard and Cornelia that makes this place so appealing. They seem to anticipate every need and unassumingly do everything in their power to make sure your stay is enjoyable and memorable.
Our room was sophisticatedly decorated and had an extremely comfortable king size bed with fabulous bed linens and luscious towels. It also opened out directly onto the pool deck where we checked our e-mail every morning while enjoying fresh warm scones and coffee. Happy hour is a treat too with complimentary wine and hors d’oeurves.
This was our first trip to La Maison but it will not be our last.

We hadn't been to Palm Springs for 15 years and are not the la-de-da golf resort kind of people so we didn't really know where to stay. Another hotel that we contacted was full and referred us to La Maison. Cornelia and Richard were great hosts and made us feel so welcome. We had wine and appetizers by the pool most nights, and the intimate size of the hotel (just 13 rooms) allowed us to meet and socialize with the other guests. Bikes were provided to allow us to explore, and our hosts were able to point us to great restaurants and day trips. The rooms are lovely (plans are in the works to redo the bathrooms), our bed was really great, we are looking forward to additional trips to Palm Springs and staying here again. We really felt at home here.

Room Tip: Room # 1 is the best, then # 2. All rooms are great.

We were so happy to find this lovely little Inn with a B&B atmosphere. Innkeepers Richard and Cornelia were so hospitable, with Richard making us lattes every morning with our continental breakfast. One morning Cornelia made lemon lavender scones that were delicious. In the evening they put out complimentary beer and wine, and we sat at the firetable enjoying the evening. The only thing that could have been better is the weather, as it was in the 40 s at night and we had a bit of rain as well. The bedding was heavenly, as were the beds, I would like to duplicate that at my own home! We would have liked to stay longer but look forward to returning again in the future and will certainly recommend this to our friends.
