The rooms were really nice! I am an interior designer - and thus a total snob about housekeeping and little details - some of the other review scared me - some chick complaining about baseboards in the spa etc.. Forget all that! Its a great hotel, very clean, super friendly staff, well worth the money!

My only gripe is that the spa did not tell us beforehand that they automatically add a 20% gratuity to a basic $150 massage ($180 total!!!) that really should be more like $90 - it was more of a petting zoo than deep tissue. We did not know this until checkout :(

Room Tip: Would have LOVED to try one of the villas - spring for it if you can afford it. Otherwise basic room...

We came to the Parker for a wedding and found a beautiful relaxing resort. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The wedding itself was in a beautiful setting and the surrounds were stunning. Loved the decor and we had some wonderful food. Our requests off the menu were given without question.

Room Tip: Rooms that opened to the pool were very nice.

Mr. Gene Autry once owned this property.Thats what made me want to see it. I did not stay here only wanted to float around the grounds. The 2 pools were not so packed with sunbathers. Seemed to me everyone had their space. Mister Parker's seems like a high end restaurant. A drink at the bar will set you back 16 bones. lemonade & vodka. All in all, spent a few hours floating around where Gene & Champion once roamed.

The Parker has a lot going for it, but a handful of problems holding it back. The front desk staff are not especially friendly. Front desk manager was not nice when we had an issue checking in, either. The hotel was offering a "gluttony" package that offered a $200 food credit "per day." It was actually "per night," though I didn't make any mention of it. Norma's, a casual restaurant, was great for breakfast and lunch. The fresh smoothies were so refreshing, especially after long nights of heavy drinking!! The food at Mister Parker's was ok...but if it wasn't included in the deal, I'm not sure it would be my first choice. On the first night, we had to wait an hour or so, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. I think they just wanted us to make a habit of making reservations. We had a handful of drinks at the lobby bar during our stay. Drinks were strong and the bartender was sweet. Pools were nice, as well. Overall, it was relatively quiet and peaceful!! Exactly how I like it in Palm Springs. *They also have the BEST bath products of any hotel I've ever stayed in*...and that includes the MGM Mansions! Bvlgari lotion, Hermes facial bar, L'Occitane body bar, Penhaligons shampoo and conditioner, and Moulton Brown body wash... Plenty of restaurants nearby. Palm Canyon Drive is relatively close. Vons is across the street.

Room Tip: Do NOT get a pool view if you want privacy on your balcony/terrace. Rooms downstairs have larger ter...

We stay in Palm Springs a lot. Often in private homes or Colony Palms (a beautiful boutique hotel). Stayed at Parker after having drinks and dinner there many times and loving the grounds. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful...total oasis vibe - bocee ball, ping pong, chess set, fire pit. The rooms are upscale (bath amenities - Hermes soap, Molton Brown, etc) typical of a very nice hotel. Nice bathrooms - not overly large. Great beds.

Two pools - well not really, there is an adult only pool and a family pool. The family pool is the size of a dipping pool. No joke it is really barely larger than a hot tub. They could easily double the size and remove the hot tub. It is ridiculous. Palm Springs you spend a lot of time in the water - 5 people in this pool made it crowded. Now the adult only pool was a scene out of Vegas - overly crowded, barely an empty space and a crowd that hovered around 24. So much for a relaxed vibe at either area.

The real disappointment was that this once super chic hotel is now nothing more than a wedding factory. Apparently there were three weddings the weekend we were there, not a holiday weekend, just a regular weekend in September. Areas were cordoned off, loud speakers were blasting vows, pools were bursting with people, as was the lobby and restaurants. This is really a group hotel now geared to large parties. We asked when we checked in and saw the bachlorettes roaming the lobby if it was going to be a problem with service, they said no, of course it was. Room service was delayed, garbage abounded. They knew we were not happy and there wasnt even a hey were sorry let us buy you dinner or drinks. The Parker is beautiful but we will take the smaller Colony Palms anyday - more chic, better vibe - less Vegas more Palm Springs of old. No $17 smores at the fire pit that seem like a great idea until they give you tiny metal skewers that its impossible to get close to the fire with without burning your hand. A 4 graham crackers for $17 -- too funny.

Room Tip: Careful about being by pool they are opened late and are noisy. Also try and not get a room above th...

I would highly recommend the Parker for a wedding. It is an incredible and unique venue. For 157 of my guests the wedding dinner was superb and delivered hot to every table. The service at this hotel is outstanding from the time you enter the property to the time you leave. IT was clear to me that the guests come first!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms close to meeting facilities

The Parker is a fantastic weekend getaway for couples. The spa facilities are great-- enjoyed both a massage and facial there and would totally recommend. So very relaxing! Enjoyed the adult pool--with cocktails and snacks-- and just made it feel like vacation. It was great! And the rooms-- had a back patio with a hammock. So fun to lay down and watch the stars. The only negative was the bathroom shower head was too low-- was more at height for me at 5'2 but not for my boyfriend at 6'4.
