“Do It!!!!”

This is a must do if in Palm Springs. Nice to get from 110 degrees in Palm Springs to about 70 degrees up the mountain. The ride itself gives great views on the way up and the way down and the fact it revolves at the same time! Once you are up there it is great to step out into that lovely fresh alpine atmosphere. Short hikes at the top afford some stunning views of the desert below. Well worth the trip up the mountain.

“Worth the experience”

This is a no brainer if you're in Palm Springs, especially if you're visiting in the summer months. The temperature can be a 20-30 difference when you are trying to get out of triple digit heat. The drive to get there is so smooth that you don't realize you are going up in elevation just to get to the parking lot. As for the hiking, "Hike at your own risk." Being city folk we are used to the ground here to be level, so it was a challenge for us. However, if camping and hiking is your thing, you will be in your element.

“Take the Tramway”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2012

The mountain is beautiful any time of the year! We went up from the desert to snowshoe after a fresh snowfall. We had two feet of nice snow to hike through. It is also a good place to cool off during the summer months with loads of hiking trails. Or just take the tram for lunch or dinner at the top of the mountain. You won't be disappointed with the views.

“Fun short getaway to nature”

beautiful hiking trails and fresh air when it's super hot and muggy in PS. The best part is the close proximity to Palm Springs when taking the Aerial Tramway. All excellent in an afternoon hike!

“A breath of fresh air.”

Magnificent scenery. Go early, as it gets very busy by about midday. We ate at Peaks restaurant. The salads we had were delicious and the service good.
