Tried Il Corso for dinner last night. It has now been opened for 3 months and the decor is very nice. They don't have the misters installed yet so it is quite hot on the patio. Our meals were incorrect but quickly readjusted. The food was so so, very salty. The lamb tenderloins were ok and the big scampi on angel hair were good. The Tiramisu was the best part of the meal!

Had a nice night with friends at this place. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the wine list if extensive. Of the 4 of us, 2 liked their meals very much and the other two (including me) found the meals so-so. My lasagna was an extremely small piece which made me wonder if this was due to most people ordering another dish but the other pasta dishes were more hardy. More important then serving size was the flavor which was bland. I would still go back to this place but would have lower expectations. The outside patio is a nice place to sit when the weather is pleasant.

The facilities are top of the line. Friendly staff and a great location. The meal was bland (veal with prosciutto). The lobster pasta just ok and the pasta that was good was to small of portion.
I would give them another chance as they are evolving from just opening.
Hope it is better next time. If not will post
another review

Right next to the Rowan Hotel, Il Corso is a beautiful restaurant in the heart of Palm Springs. You can wear jeans and a t-shirt for dinner or dress up. The ambiance is casual elegance. There is a patio which fills up fast, but they have floor to ceiling windows so you feel like you are outside anyway.

We were a party of 6, but he service was seamless. Delicious
Italian food. Expensive, but worth it. I loved the lighting which was dim without being too dark, the drinks which were generous pours, and the friendliness and efficiency of the service.

I do not know about parking as we walked from the hotel. Palm Springs is not parking friendly so we usually walk everywhere. Such a small town. I will be back to Il Corso "the path, the avenue, the main street" the next time I am in town. Too good to pass up.

First, the restaurant is quite impressive.

For some reason, the wait staff and bus people tried to hurray us way to much.

1. Our server asked for our order as she served our drinks. We had no time to “settle in” and review the menu.
2. The bus boy served our meal and did not know where to place our orders.
3. The bus girl started to clear main course plates as we were still eating. I told her to back off and let us eat. This same girl attempted to clear our entire table by stacking all plates, silver ware, small plates at once only to top the entire stack with our bread basket which she dropped on the floor.

DISGUSTING! The personnel is not properly trained. The staff are willing workers, but training is severely lacking. This is a note to the owner.

Food: Not very good

1. Prime bone in ribeye - very tough - not nearly worth $55. Score - 1
2. Jumbo prawns - on a bed of pasta - Score 1
3. Alfredo with tiny shrimp the size of a small fingernail - Score 1
4. Dry bread - Score 1

We 3 diners spent, with tip, well over $300.

We have dined here 4 times since February and the service and food quality has drastically deteriorated.

We will not return as there are better dining options in Palm Springs.
