We all enjoyed the street fair. It was lively and festive. Lots of locals and tourists enjoying themselves. Cool evening which made it extra special. We bought lots of goodies including fresh picked dates and fruit. Very enjoyable and free too!

We thought this was just artists. It's so much more! Musicians, artisans, food and people. Fruits and vegetables. OM... we ate fresh dates and raisins (they grow them in this region). If you get a chance stop by Dates r Us. Great people, and will answer the 101 questions we had! The large lifelike of ms m Monroe is awesome. Bad thing, if you eat vendor food you will just have to go back another day to LuLus'. :)

We didn't know about this gem of a street fair 'till our front desk clerk told us when asking for dinner recomendations on the way out of All Worlds Resort. We had a great time there. We ate little plates of this and that from different restaurants and got a feel of the diversity of ethnic foods available in PS. And a great representation of the gay community of business owners. We had a full dinner off the many little plates for under 20 bucks total and breakfast for the next 4 days via fruits from the little farmers market and local bakeries. We loved all the local artisan's wares and bought a vase and a tall glass penguin from a local glass blower/sculpter. We met locals and other tourists and wound up partying with some till the wee hours. If you're gooings to PS for a long weekend, start it on Thursday so you can go to this street fair. It is not to be missed.

Even though we were there in low season, and there were less stalls than normal it was great to walk around and enjoy the market. The BBQ pork sandwich was very tasty and make sure you check out bertha quevedo, the lady with the copper jewelry. She makes all of it herself, and is one of the most skilled artists I have ever seen, and never, have I seen copper or any metal worked in this way before. She is very likeable too and would reccommend you stop by and take a look. Prices are VERY reasonable too. Gorgeous copper and silver necklace with hematite, and other precious stones with earrings for $50 for both. You felt like she was honest and not in it to make a big profit, especially considering it can take a week or more to make a piece!

If you are in the Palm Springs area on a Thursday this is the place you want to go. Different ethnic food stands are available to satisfy your taste buds. Artisians of all types are available to interest you in their wares. From jewelery, to paintings to various items for the home their is something of interest for everyone. There is also local produce from around the area for sale. Various types of entertainment are also on the street. Taking a leisurely walk down Palm Canyon Drive, meeting people from all over and the locals is a great way to spend a night out while on vacation.
