“Palm Springs' version of the Gardens of Good and Evil”
Reviewed June 14, 2011

Streetbar is packed with colorful locals and a few out-of-towners. Anyone could easily write a version of Midnight in the Gardens of God and Evil based on the characters you will meet here! Ask if Bijou is there and if he is, buy him a drink and ask to see his portfolio.

“Like Comming Home”

Streetbar is much like a "Gay Cheers" . A real neighborhood place where everyone seems to know everyone . They get a great group of out-of-towners and tourists . The Bartenders are real attentive and Don is a dream !
One thing they have that none of the bars on Arenas has is Mona Caywood . She's a fantastic singer and preformer . Moving from New York last year I missed the Piano Bar scene and Mona more than fills the void. She appears every Friday night at 9 PM . Her evil sister " Miss Fern" appears every Sunday about 7 ish PM ! You have to catch Miss Fern ....she's not to be missed !

“My favorite place in the desert...”
Reviewed February 19, 2007

Delightful mix of old and new... Streetbar is a favorite of locals and it seems that most newcomers inevitably find it. Owner Dick Haskamp has mastered the art of providing reliable and friendly customer service while giving back a fortune in meaningful contributions to local charities. Imbibing at Streetbar is hence the equivalent of filing for charitable tax deductions while swirling round and round in the self-indulgent whirlpool of infectious inebriation. Great locale, wonderful staff, fascinating clientele.
