I came here with a group of friends for July 4th weekend and we had a great time. The rooms are nice enough and the beds are pretty comfortable. I particularly appreciated the larger sized mini fridge which they only stock with a couple water bottles...not a ton of stuff you have to pay an arm and a leg for. This gave us plenty of room to put our own drinks and snacks. The only real complaint I have is the two huge blow up colorful beach balls they put in the pool, i guess because they look nice. There were a bunch of kids playing with these things and constantly knocking over people's drinks and hitting people in the head. Not very relaxing. I wasn't traveling with kids and don't have kids of my own. I'm not going to complain about people bringing kids here because I know that's just how it goes sometimes. But I will say that this is not a super kid-friendly place. There is only one pool which isn't huge and it's more of a young adult crowd. Your kids would probably have a much better time at a bigger resort which is more catered to them.

Room Tip: Pool rooms have a better view, but the pool area is pretty noisy, especially on weekends. If you ca...

This bright hotel has pool parties in the summer and 2 great restaurants on site. The rooms are clean and comfortable with bright curtains, rugs, and Mexican furniture. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. They offer Bocce ball, table tennis & bicycles too

Room Tip: I prefer to have my room face the pool area. They have a little patio and the way the pool area is...

The colors are so bright and fun, it really is about all I was able to notice. Looking beyond the colors, anyone would find flaws. At a busy intersection, yet not the downtown strip. Hallways are a bit confusing. I waited in line 15+ mins to check in. Sometimes I had trouble parking near our room. The value, well, not excellent. The hotel isn't new, just refreshed. But wow, is it refreshing! The inner courtyard area was perky & delightful... little walking trails from the hallways, comfortable chairs to recline by the pool, perfect nighttime lighting, casual area to sit... all amid a rainbow of color. Sitting by the pool at night below the full moon was perfection. Color and lighting does wonders for one's mood, and inasmuch, I was as happy as I could be during my stay. I traveled with my 16 yr old, and would definitely return.

If upon check-in you too are offered a 'better' room overlooking the pool, be suspicious. A dj accompanied by a live drummer may rattle the nerves of some - but whatever, we didn't mind so much. Still, if you're hoping to get in a quiet weekend, you may want to look elsewhere. Every corner of this hotel was entirely saturated by djs, live music, or the unfolding melodramatics of stoned sorority girls.
Most annoying was the system for taking out bikes. We asked early one morning and were told they'd all been reserved already. After breakfast, there they sat, still unused. Apparently reservations are good for 4 hours. Seems like the system could be simplified? And we weren't asked if we'd like to put our names in for a later slot. These bikes were spoken for, all day, parked and unused I guess. Kind of annoying.
On a happier note, the staff around the pool were amazing.

Room Tip: Light sleepers may want to skip the pool view, as it tends to get a little MTV Beach House loud out...

Being a Joie de Vivre member, and having stayed at many of its boutique hotels I can plainly state that this property is NOT your a-typical Joie de Vivre hotel - or I should say road side motor court. Slapping on some ridiculous mis-matched colors and giving it an exotic name does not qualify it as 'boutique'. From the over crowded pool and blaring non- stop thumping music, to the maze like corridors, this property is in need of a MAJOR over haul... Tout de suite! Although this did not put a damper on my overall trip, I will not stay here again nor will I recommend this motel to my other international friends. Honestly? This place was MUCH better when it was a Holiday Inn.

Room Tip: Steer clear of rooms facing the very noisy pool area - all hours of the day or night Negotiate no r...

take a traditional nondescript chain box style hotel and turn into chic, fun, fabulous, personality personified. The saguaro is all that, from the colors of the desert flowers and colors that elicit happiness to the earthen natural furnishing accents. The staff is not just being paid to smile but appear to truly be happy and enjoying their jobs. From the bar at night to the pool by day, the sounds of fun resonate. The heat may have been 118 degrees outside but this was one cool place.

Room Tip: If you like to feel like you are in a garden, ask for a ground floor facing the pool.

We absolutely loved this little gem of a hotel. The colors, the staff, the pool, and the music. Even if we traveled with an infant, we imitatively felt at home.
It can be a little bit noisy from the pool area, but if you think that will affect you, you should ask for a room facing the parking lot instead. I think the pool party ended around 10PM.

The hotel is not smack in the centre of Palm Springs, but they offer a free shuttle every hour.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room if you think you will be annoyed by the pool party
