George, the tour guide, is very intellegent, knowledgable and entertaining. in addition, George is well connected. He introduced us to xxxxxx while the renowned artist was working on one of his current projects. Mr. xxxxxx invited us into his house where we were able to view and discuss more of his work. I would recommend this trip. You never know who you might run into.

This tour was really extraordinary. Our guide George knew every nook and cranny in Palm Springs with all of the history, gossip, and details of interest. We took the "Modernism Tour" which took in the architecture of the forties and fifties. Homes of the "Stars" were pointed out and a special treat was going inside the Palm Springs retreat of Elvis. As a bonus George told us about "the Taco Shop" at Washington and Ca-111. Best breakfast burrito ever!!

5 of us went on the afternoon tour with George as our tour guide. I must say he was the reason the trip was so fantastic! Very knowledgeable, pleasant & great sense of humor. We would like to believe George had as much fun as he had made it for us. Toured & was so educated of all the history of the stars that lived in palm springs. As much fun that it was it was also very emotional for me to take a walk back in time & feel so enlightened. Thanks again George. We will definitely recommend you to anyone we know considering the tour

My wife and I have been regular visitors to the Palm Springs area since 1980. We usually migrate to the desert several times a year. Since our first trip here, we have often toyed with the idea of taking a tour of the homes of the many celebrities who have resided in this region...but for one reason or another never seemed to get around to doing it. Besides, part of us were a bit concerned that it might prove to be a bit hokey. Last Thursday we found ourselves looking for something to do on a last minute basis, and the concierge at our resort suggested the "Rich & Famous Tour" provided by Five Star Adventures. She called the company at 2:30 PM and by 3:30 a tour guide/driver arrived in a comfortable van. Our guide, George, was outstanding. He had previously worked in the entertainment industry, and clearly had a feel for that world and the celebrities that populate it. What a plaeasant, informative, and just plain fun person to spend time with. We simply loved the entire three hours that we were on the road with George. We started by visiting Frank Sinatra's grave in Cathedral City...which meant a lot to us, as we were both major fan's of the Chairman of the Board. From there it was off to the homes of the stars. We clearly must have visited over 50 homes, including those belonging to John Wayne, Bob Hope, Gene Autry, Marilyn Monroe, Jack Benny, Sammy Davis, Jr., Barbara Streisand, Frank Sinatra, Randolph Scott and many, many others. The highlight for us was a visit to both the honeymoon house of Elvis and Priscella Presley, and the actual home that Elvis owned and resided in. This is the only celebrity home that includes a tour of the inside. Both of us felt that we were travelling down memory lane, by seeing the places of residence of so many of the entertainers that we so enjoyed through our lifetime. This is a "don't miss" tour...a wonderful way to spend half a day in the desert. If at all possible, do request George...he really made this experience special for us.

My 23-year old grand-daughter and I took Five Star Adventures Architecture Tour in Palm Springs recently, and loved it. It was just she and I, and George was our guide. Unlike where I live, Palm Springs treasures its mid-century modern homes. They are all restored and kept in pristine condition, and people live in them. There are many homes to see, and although we didn't go into any of them, we felt as though we had visited all of them. George was a wonderful guide, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun, and we loved every minute. "We got a lot of Palm Springs history along the way. I think its name is correct....it really is Five Star!
