“Great variety of cacti, could use a bit of "sprucing up"”
Reviewed March 27, 2013 via mobile

As most reviewers have posted, this is a small, quaint botanical garden worth the 20-30mins it takes to visit. That have a fairly wide collection of cacti, loosely organized into regions (e.g. Sonora Desert, etc). Reasonably kept up grounds, but you do get the sense that they are a little tired, and could use some refreshing. Many of the labels with the names od the cacti are faded and unreadable.

Potential for 5 stars, even with their small size, if they put a bit more effort into it.

“Lots of Cactus”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

Saw some reviews so didn't go expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. $4 for adults $2 for children 6 and older. Many varieties of cacti on a winding dirt path. It was a very hot day (98 degrees) and the path had some nice shade and benches. We enjoyed all the variety and saw many types we had never seen before. There is a grassy area perfect for a small wedding or party. They have a nice plant shop and can buy many different variety of cacti plants. We had a nice visit.

“Not too impressive! Expected a bit more!”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

We expected a lot more cactus and a larger facility. It is quite small. It costs four dollars per person. Two dollars would be better or they could just ask for donations. Saw a few tortoises. That was kind of cool. Only took about fifteen minutes to see the whole place.

“Small but Pleasant”
Reviewed March 12, 2013

When I travel I often go to the local botanic garden. I wouldn't rate this poor but it certainly was below average (compared to those in Chicago, Tucson, and Phoenix). This is a small, private botanic garden. I toured the grounds in 15-20 mins. It was pleasant but I was disappointed in the size. I was glad to support a local business. So if you go, go with lowered expectations if you visited other botanic gardens.
