Located on South Palm Canyon Drive, the Indian Canyons provide a wonderful place to hike or picnic along a quiet stream in a lovely grove of indigenous California Fan Palms. Despite being in the desert, there's always water there. Good for birders, too.

This area indicates why native Americans inhabited the desert. in spring the canyon is especially beautiful. Nice place for a walk, and native artifacts are labeled.

A really interesting place with all types of hiking trails that suit not only the experts but persons who just like a short walk, but make sure you have the right footwear. The history is interesting, and to see the cool streams coming down the canyons on a hot day is refreshing in it self. The Trading Post shop is also worth a visit.

This is one of the many hikes that we have enjoyed in the Palm Springs area. There are options for different trails depending upon your fitness and interest. We enjoyed hiking along the creek bed and through the palms. We also took a trail that led higher up on the mountains. The view was wonderful. Be sure to wear closed toe shoes and bring plenty of water. There is a small fee, but it is well worth it for a great day of hiking.

This is a fun little hike worth doing if you get to Palm Springs. Beautiful scenery with rock formations, flowing creek, and palms along a well kept path. Worth the cost of entry.
