My boyfriend and I were looking for a quick relaxing break from our hectic lives and decided a quick Palm Springs getaway was in order. We heard the Hyatt Regency Palm Springs had recently been renovated so decided we would give it a try, which turned out to be such a fantastic idea. The hotel's new look was very chic, with hip modern touches everywhere - from the luxurious rooms to the upscale lounge area. The atmosphere and the accommodating service provided by the staff, made us feel like celebrites during our stay. Speaking of celebs, as we were taking the elevator back to the room Lilly Tomlin was riding it with us!!!! It was such a surreal moment, being a fan of Desperate Housewives, I was thrilled to see an actress from the show standing right next to me. The Hyatt P.S. is a MUST, from the super-comfy beds to the top-notch service, I'm definitely going to make it my Palm Springs choice. Who knows, maybe the next time I stay there, there will be another celeb sighting!!!

Thank you for your comments. We are pleased you found so many aspects of your visit to your liking. With regard to the comments on the parking and resort fee, these are based on survey of all other hotels in the area and are quite competative with charges at other properties. We look forward to welcoming you on another visit. And yes, you just might see a familar face from movie or TV around you.

Ongoing guests every winter and summer seasons. Very impressed with the upgrades to the hotel and to the rooms. Bar/restaurant/pool lounging areas are welcoming and will be looking forward to a returning stay in the summer. Truly love the cabana suites, in which we plan to utilize. We recommend this hotel to our friends and family, as it is also walking distance to Palm Springs Downtown shops, restaurants, pubs, bars and the Spa Casino.
HOWEVER, disappointed (as previously indicated with other guests' reviews) of the HIGHLY charged parking and resort fees. Although it is customary in any hotel, but this is something hyatt should really reconsider - as this CAN discourage future guests. In addition would like to see hyatt provide at least complimentary breakfast to guests as an incentive for their stay.

We have stayed at the Hyatt P.S. for many, many, years & happy renovations are completed. We do like rooms decor, as well as the bar & dining area. The beds are very comfortable.
We weren't happy with daily resort fees, & increase in parking fees. I also agree with others, front desk didn't seem very friendly.
We love the location, great restaurants, our favorite Italian, Kalura's, Hamburger Marys, for drinks, food is awesome, also had a great dinner at Trio, all in walking distance of the Hyatt.
We also rented bikes north of hotel (next to Copley's) nice place to ride bet. mountains & Palm cyn.
We will definetly be back to stay at the Hyatt!

Thank you for taking the time to write on your recent and return visit. We are pleased you enjoyed your visit. I am sorry you do not find our front desk team welcoming. Please rest assured that we are reviewing these comments with the group to find out ways to change that impression. Our resort fee was implemented this year to create one charge for Internet and other amenities being charged individually.

We look forward to having back on another visit in the near future.

This newly renovated hotel is so fabulous! The bar is ultra modern and the lobby is very chic and elegant. We absolutely loved the place and plan on returning. They are still working on a few things but no bother for us. Can't wait to se eit in its final glory!...so that is why we will return here. The people that work here are very nice and the bellman always greeted us and got to know us which was a nice personal touch.

I recently stayed at the hotel for a conference and had a wonderful experience. I heard from the staff that they have been remodeling the hotel recently. The pool area was the last to be completed. The hotel looks wonderful! It's very modern in colors and furniture. The meeting rooms are pretty standard. The jacuzzi was just the right temperature. The fitness room has the newest equipment. The food at the restaurant was delicious, (I had mushroom soup and lamb) but there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The two complaints: the maid left a cleaning rag on my bathroom floor one night and the noise from a popular pub carried up to my room on their busy night. Minor compared to the overall experience during my stay at the hotel.

The location is perfect being located downtown Palm Springs and the newly renovated Hyatt Regency is an attraction within itself. From the time you arrive valet until you depart all expections were met. The staff have definitley been trained to match the fabulous design. The front desk meets you with a smile and everyone through out the hotel knows your name by the time you leave. The pool and lounge with it's fire and water theme should win awards. No long hallways, just sweeping glass elevators to waste no time quickly getting you to your room. The work out facility is perfect with breath taking views of the Mountains over looking the golf coarse, spacious space and all new equipment . With the architectual style of the building all rooms have a view of the mountains, golf coarse, or the beautiful city all containing large balconies with luxurious furniture. The decor is something travel writers will have to describe to better explain after they notice this gem. Nothing is more perfect than staying in a two room suite with two flat panel TV's , comfortable furniture, wet bar and walls that are concrete solid to prevent any noise from other guest rooms. This is a must do hotel.

Our family stayed 3 nights at the Hyatt Paln Springs over the New Year period and although the hotel. has been recently refurbished ,overall we were pretty disappointed with many aspects of the hotel. Firstly, be prepared for the most bizarre and we thought depressing decor for the rooms. They are ftted out with with a nausea inducing faded sliver wallpaper with pretty much everything else black (including curtains) except for a thin, miserable and utterly pointless bright orange quarter sized bedspread. This is a shame because actually the rooms are well equiiped with two good sized flat screen TVs in both the bedroom and sitting room areas. Other plus points were that the concierge service was on the whole pretty good as was the breakfast in the large atrium dining area. Now for disaster area number 2... the Swimming Pool. It is not the pool area itself that was our main cause for complalnt but the constant loud music piped to it from dawn to dusk (we were awoken on New Years day at 7am by the din) Why at a time when we all can choose our own music courtesy of an MP3 do hotels still insist on inflicting their own ghastly unavoidable musical taste on us? In Hyatt Palm Springs case the quiet peace of a beautiful warm and relaxing day by the pool was ruined by a head splitting compilation of soft and not so soft rock music. I love music. I love rock music , but I don't want it blaring at me whilst I read my book by the pool. Sorry Hyatt but for every guest who might welcome it there must be 2 who like me, think it is tacky, trashy , unnecessary and unwelcome . So unless you like your wall paper sliver your curtains and carpets black and somebody elses i-pod mix blasted at you by the pool don't go the Hyatt Palm Springs.

I thank you for your comments. I am sorry our choice of design was not pleasing to you and recognize design tastes are very individual. I am sorry you did not enjoy the pool side music and while we do tailor the music to try to appeal to as many people as possible we will review this to refine it better. I am pleased you found so many other aspects of our hotel and service to your satisfaction.
