The property is is small, and relaxing. The room was very clean and had a wonderful view off of the unenclosed patio. Our only gripe was at the very end of our stay. Check out time is written as 11am. At 10:30, maid service knocked once and marched right in. As soon as she saw us, she meekly apologized and closed the door behind her. About 8 minutes later, our door opened again, this time without so much as a knock. It was the lady manager. "Oops, I thought you left!"
I thought this a little odd, so a minute later I approached her on the grounds and asked if there was a problem. She said "many people have left this morning so I thought you did too." I explained that the maid was just there a few minutes before her, and what an odd coincidence it was. She said she didn't know that the maid had just been there. I then asked, do you normally go into rooms without a knock and pause? Yada yada yada. I explained that maybe she should check with her front desk gal (who herself seemed a bit aloof) to find out if someone had checked out.
I felt like we were being hustled out of the place, and or being lied to by the manger when I called her on the morning's multiple intrusions. Kind of tacky for a place that holds itself in such high esteem (not to mention the $210 I paid for the night).

It's too bad, because the place is charming but the staff seems to takes some of the guests for granted.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at Casa Cody. The rates were very reasonable, and the property is just beautiful. The rooms are clean and tidy, with rustic decor- not luxurious, but certainly all that you need. The grounds themselves, however, are the real joy of this place: two pools, a whirlpool, numerous 'courtyards', with gorgeous trees and flowers everywhere. The backdrop of the mountains is almost surreal in its beauty. All of the staff were very friendly, and the continental breakfast was certainly suitable. The property is also very close to the main shopping/dining streets, so it's very convenient in that respect. I highly recommend this property!

For anyone with pets looking for some R and R then the Casa Cody is for you. Nice breakfast everyday, many rooms to choose from. Two pools and hot tub. A lot of grass to care for you dogs. The CC is what it is. Sufficient rooms, peaceful and relaxing. If you are looking for anything else dont stay here. You wont be happy. We loved it and will be back in October.

This small inn has an excellent location, within walking to downtown attractions, informative and helpful staff, a choice of many different lodging types, great pools and beautiful, private grounds. You feel secluded even though it's almost in the center of town. We stayed in "the cottage" for 3 nights during a cold spell over Valentine's Day. The heater was kind of noisy, the room could have been a bit cleaner (one of the resident cats found a half of a dog biscuit under the bed while visiting us), and the breakfast is so-so, but all is forgiven because of the unique, charming and private ambiance. A winner!

Me and my girlfriend love escaping the city to Palm Springs and Casa de Cody has proven to be the perfect place for us. It's very pretty, clean, truly has a secluded feel though you can walk several blocks to all the resturants and shopping. Most important for us, it is very quiet. I don't know how they do it, but it seems everyone that stays there is respectful and noise is never a problem. The road it is on also has zero traffic. We've stayed in a room near the road and never had a problem. The rooms are outstanding. Clean, big, and the beds are amazing! Very comfortable. Trip Advisor says the average room price is $69 but I don't think that's true..$120 is probably more accurate. they are more expensive than $69 but worth every penny. I have always had fantastic experiences with Casa de Cody, their staff, rooms, service, guests, and we love their breakfast. Highly Recommended!

Our suite was delightful - clean and cozy ! The hosts were just wonderful ! The inn is located in a beautiful spot - the San Jacinto Mountains are just outside the door. Spacious grounds.

Shops and restaurants are just steps away. We had stayed at the Hyatt on an earlier visit, but will now definitely stay at the Cody again. We will also recommend it to our friends.

We just returned from a weekend at Casa Cody in PS. I didn't want to spend alot of $$ on a room, but wanted a place close to town and with a pool. CC seemed like it fit. I booked a "standard room w/king bed" for $89/night even though they offered a room with a LR for $169. When we arrived, I asked if she had a choice of rooms and asked to see them. She showed me the King that we booked (very small) and then a larger Queen room w/sep LR & Kitchen. We went with the larger of the two, and they were gracious enough to offer it to us at the same price. That was fortunate because overall, I thought the place was pretty tired. Sure, the website pics are adorable but you don't see the circa 1970 kitchenettes or bathrooms. The grounds ARE pretty, but not spectacular. The room and the pool was a clean but the whirlpool was NOT. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the continental bkfast was decent. The bed was comfortable, but the overhead A/C was noisy as hell and never quite cooled enough (also circa 1970).

If your preference is value, then it'll meet your expectations. If you're travelling with a group and want an inexpensive place to stay in an otherwise relatively expensive town, then you'd be ok with CC. At $89 for the 1 BR...not a bad deal, but it would have been waaayy overpriced at $169.

Final thoughts -- Keep your expectations low and spend the $$ you saved on a nice dinner.
