Able to see what stores are on Palm Canyon due to little to no traffic. Went to Cathedral City and Rancho Mirage and ate. Great variety of restaurants and things ot do.

“A great trail walk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

This trail walk is very scenic as you walk in a narrow canyon along a stream and palm trees. It's fairly level, not difficult. It's only a short 5 minute drive from downtown Palm Springs. You have to pay admission (about $5 per car) to the area because it's within Indian land.

“Enjoy the drive!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2013

Downtown is located in the Palm Canyon área but if you are driving enjoy cruising the whole avenue. It's full of nice places and good restaurants, bars and late night entertaintment.

“Great Hikes Even When Hot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013

My husband and I hiked Palm Canyon and Andreas Canyon over the 4th of July weekend. Even though it was very hot, we loved the stark beauty of the mountains and the lush palm oasis hugging the cool streams. Lizards, rock formations, birds, and cool water make these hikes interesting. The trading post at Palm Canyon offers hand crafted Native American souvenirs.

“Great trekking”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2013

We love trekking in the US and found the treks in and around Palm Canyon really good. It's worth visitng the Ranger Station to get an idea of which treks to go on based on your fitness level and ability. The warning signs say take plenty of water, you should take note of this as we saw far too many families sharing just one small 0.5 litre bottle of water. Not sure whether these people realised they were in an actual desert!
