“A wonder of the world”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2013

Climb 6000 feet in 10 minutes, from the desert to an alpine forest. This is an engineering marvel. Your car rotates twice as you climb to the top of a mountain. Gasp as you and your 80 fellow passengers swing as you pass each tower. At the top, you come to San Jacinto State Park, with unique hiking trials in an alpine environment, 40 degrees cooler than the desert floor where you began your adventure. Be sure to take the Desert Loop to Notch 3 for an amazing view of the valley below.

“A must attraction in Palm Springs”

Unique ride to the top of San Jacinto mountain, many trails up there to hike, stunning views, a lot of fun...Don't forget to take a coat with you as temperatures drop promptly while you go up.

“Fantastic Ride and dine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2013

We have done this every time we visit Palm Springs. The view us spectacular, the meals have always been good. We experienced a new snow fall in November one year. I would go again and the guests that we have traveled with have been impressed with day trip.

“A good Tramway experience ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2013 via mobile

This was a good Tramway experience. The tram takes around 25 people at a time. The trip to the top is around 5min. The best part this Aerial Tramway is a revolving one. It revolves so you can experience the spectacular view 360degree. Just a piece of advice based on my experience people do face motion sickness. Hence if you are not good with Heights or motion please take necessary precautions. We went in December it was pretty chilly but bearable. There is food at the bottom as well as at the top. Would recommend take your own food. The food served is not that good. After 4pm the tickets are discounted.

“Fun day trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2013

This was such a neat experience. This was my first visit with my best friend. We loved the drive there from Orange County (1 hour) and once we got there tickets were easy to obtain. (You can actually buy them online too). Once there we enjoyed the gift store (small) and the bar for a cold drink before we took off on our tram. The tram fits around 40-50 people, so be ready to be packed in tight. I believe the tram runs every 20minutes or so. The line doesn't take long.

The new tram deisgn allows you to be in one spot and enjoy a 360 revolving view of the scenery. So don't hold on to the sides, they are MOVING!

Once at the top we enjoyed a short walk around the trails upstairs. We didn't hike the entire trails because it was steep and would take more time than we had. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Palm Springs area. Its such neat place with amazing views.
