The tramway and easy pine forest hike were a delightful surprise and relief from the afternoon heat of the Palm Springs desert. The views from the notches overlooking the desert cities is not to be missed.

The tram ride and hike at the top were our favorite activities. The temperature in Palm Springs was in the 90's and up on the mountain it was in the low 60's. Perfect for a hike - we took the desert view hike which we loved.

Sometimes heights and I don't get along. My trip on the PS Tram was quite the opposite. The gondola is huge and well ventilated. It moves very slowly up the mountain and in a circular motion so you can see the beauty that has been given to us. When you reach the top, there are several options. You can have a bite to eat or, for the more adventurous, hike. It is well worth the money and a wonderful way to spend a few hours or more.

the views were great, the queues were pretty bad and on balance I would not go back for a second visit to the tramway

We did not visit the tramway this year, it was years ago. Great thing to do and enjoy. Hard to say more because it was in 2002
