“comfortable stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013

We stayed at the Residence Inn for a few weeks, and did enjoy the stay. The rooms are spacious we had a studio type kitchen equipped. The bed was comfy and rooms were clean. We had a second floor overlooking the golf course and the mountains ,very nice!we enjoyed watching the little bunnies, and the roadrunners.it is true that the furniture is miss matched, headboard and night tables light colored, the table and chairs and Tv stand dark.no dresser or shelves for clothes,.There was an office chair, but not a desk??However the breakfast every morning was a good start to the day with ample food and variety.we also enjoyed the happy hour, and food served 3 nights per week.the .There was a nice patio with comfortable seating, and firepit in the evenings.I think the check in staff was helpful with any questions we had..and also the breakfast and happy hour staff..It was good value for our money.I might add there is no elevators,if staying on second floor, you have to carry your luggage up the stairs.

Room Tip: We had a lot of traffic noise in building one ,when we sat on our second story balcony...building on...

We spent two nights in Building 1 with easy access to the lobby and pool. We found the room spacious, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was hearty which was perfect for a day of golf, shopping or touring the area. After dinner drinks around the fire pit on the patio outside the lobby made for a perfect way to end the way. Nice stay overall.

We stay here when we're in Palm Desert. Good location with easy freeway access. The property feels resort like with all the extra amenties; pool, spa, basketball court, tennis courts, putting green and onsite laundry facilities. The rooms are spacious with full kitchenette, balcony and separate seating and dinning area. The bed and linen were comfortable. The AM breakfast offerings are great; cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, breads, waffles, eggs and breakfast meats, plus fruit, juice, coffee and tea. On certain days there is a manager's greeting where lite complemenary refreshments are served with beer and wine. This property is almost a destination in it self. Every thing you might need is in the immediate area; coffee shop, gas station, store or restaurants.

Siince finding this property it is the only place we stay when were in the Palm Desert area and now a couple of friends have make this their regular stop over on their way to Arizona.

We highly recommend this property. It's also great if you're traveling with kids or pets.

Room Tip: Recommend room in building 6, it's near the pool/spa and dinning area. Keep an eye out for the c...

We stayed here for 4 nights in November 2012 and enjoyed every moment. The checkin was painless and the reception folks were wonderful.

The pool and 2 hot tubs were clean and warm. The 2 gas fired bbq grills just outside the lobby were fantastic and we cooked on them 2 nights. The free breakfast was a nice touch. The guest rooms were adequate with everything you needed. A little outdated, with some updating, but clean none the less.

What ever some of the previous reviews say, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we slept well, and played golf and enjoyed life, came back to a nice place with parking aright outside our rooms and we didn`t lack for anything. Besides the price was pretty darn good.

FYI just tried to book the same place for over Christmas 2013 and it is fully booked!
PS we stayed at the Westin Mission Hills which cost far more per night and were under impressed. Review to follow...

This place could be nice. They did a renovation over the fall and I can not for the life of me figure out why they did such a poor job. The basically put in new carpet and a new couch and table. But then left all the 1980's kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances. Also there is now no desk, but there is a desk chair! There is no dresser, or anything at all to put your clothes in. The new furniture is all dark wood and modern but they left the side tables and head board in the room, which are very light and old. I was told by the maintenance people that basically they ordered the wrong stuff and it didn't fit or something like that. But I have been staying here on and off for work since July and it is now mid January and new stuff has not shown up. Further more the internet and television are terrible, the TV cuts out constantly and the internet is very slow. There is no way I would stay here on my own dime and have been thinking of moving over to the homewood suites down the street like several of my colleagues have. All in all it is ok for the $85 that my company pays, but there is zero chance I would stay here for more money or if I was paying.

Oh and the Pool is ALWAYS dirty! However many times a week they clean it, they need to double it!

Note-The employees are nice enough, but whoever was in charge of fixing this place up should get out of the hotel business, seriously.

Room Tip: Ask for one not near anyone with pets or kids, the walls are thin.

This Residence Inn was under renovation when we were there in early December. There was no desk nor a dresser. It is also odd in that they are only partially re-doing the rooms. They are replacing some furniture with dark wood but leaving the old light oak headboards and side tables. I asked the front desk about the status of the reno and they said they had run into problems with the sizes of the drawers for the dressers and the size of the desks the designers ordered. And that they have no plans to replace the side tables or headboards. When they finish it it will be ok but still not great due to the mis-matched furniture. Also a caution that breakfast is clearly an area they are trying to reduce expenses on!

Our stay was perfect. The accommodation is clean, comfortable, spacious and has everything you need. Having a kitchen was perfect as we stopped at Ralph's just blocks away for deli foods to have wine and lovely dinners. Balcony looking out over golf course and mountains was perfect setting. We were on the second floor and left the windows open at night for fresh air and the curtains open for beautiful sunrise from the bed. The breakfast had many choices, front desk was friendly and the wine and snack food nights were great for meeting people. Location is perfect to get on Hwy to Joshua Tree and to Scenic Byway Palms to Pines.
We had a marvelous 9 days thanks to package by West Jet.

Room Tip: Get a room on the second floor.
