You just have to visit this place if you are in the area. It is NOT a "fifties-style diner." That is, they didn't have an interior designer come in to decorate it in "50's style." No, Keedy's is really an old diner that just hasn't changed much over the years. Neither has the menu, except for the addition of some Mexican items.
I order my usual breakfast when I'm eating out (my brother says I'm stuck in a rut) of chicken-fried steak, eggs, and hash-browns. They are plentiful and served just the way I like them, especially the crispy hash-browns. Yummy.
For lunch I always get a "Keedy's fix" -- cheeseburger and fries, and a shake. Especially try the date shake, if you've never had one. For good comfort food in a place that is not reminiscent of an old `50's diner, but really IS an old `50's diner, this is THE place to go!
